this will be the fight of the ages when it happens!!!

UFC lightweight champion B.J. Penn will have to wait just a little longer to face Georges St. Pierre, the man he’s set in his sights since conquering the 155-pound division. But it won’t be too long; manager J.D. Penn tells MMAWeekly.com that UFC president Dana White has named Jan. 31 as D-Day for B.J.’s next incursion into the 170-pound division. Penn and company had originally anticipated a showdown with St. Pierre at UFC 92 on Dec. 27 in Las Vegas.

What happens if either of them loses before the 'superfight'?

The "superfight" still happens!

When are they going to annouce the other "superfight" I've been salivating for?

Hughes v Serra.

Yes, absolutely Crom. Penn vs GSP still happens regardless.

When Hughe's knee is healed.

Exactly. There have been too many words spoken about it already. Its a fight we all want to see now. Since Penn has re-committed himself to the sport and not just relied on his natural ability - he really has raised his game to another level. His methodical and inspired dismantling of Sean Sherk really impressed the hell out of me.

Similarly, GSP's domination of Jon Fitch was equally impressive.

This is a fight we gotta see.

When Hughes's knee is healed.

Yeah, I just checked his site and he posted this:

Last Wednesday, I went in for my second MRI and also a stress x-ray. It all came back very positive and looks as though I will not need surgery. I still have to go back for my three month check-up to find out more; but as of right now I can do more and start exercising a little bit.

He's got a protective brace on it now I see. Still, it looks like he has been able to give clinics and do a lot of physical movements regardless.
