I love Gatorland, it's a great place to go for just a couple of hours (we usually hit it on the first day before checking in to the hotel).

My favorite quote from over the loudspeaker at the jumparoo show after them telling people no less than five times to take their kids off the top of the railing around the gators:

"For the last time, please remove your child from the railing. If your child falls in, no one, I repeat NO ONE will attempt to rescue him. Your only comfort will be to know that it was over in a matter of seconds..."

Will this get me thrown out of the Magic Kingdom? Perhaps if I try to perform some lingus on Daisy Duck? If so, I'd have to time it to the end of the day at the Magic Kingdom.

We went to Typhoon Lagoon yesterday, got my silly ass burned up. Went to Downtown Disney last night, checked out DisneyQuest, which was pretty cool. All those ancient video games, I can't believe how religiously I plugged my quarters into them! We walked through Pleasure Island, but really, we were too wiped out to do very much. We plan to go back either tonight or perhaps Saturday night.

They are very protective about how the characters are photographed.

My wife is a big Goofy fan and he was really hugging her alot. So I asked if I could get a picture of him hugging her while I looked mad at him and they wouldnt do it.

BTW most Mickey Mouses and the other smaller characters are girls in the costume. I used to work a character breakfast and got to see alot of them out of costume and I think I only saw one dude and he was being Pluto.

God I'm glad I'm not the only one that feels that way. Fuck Disney right in their fucking asses.

I went there when I was 12, fucking HAAAAAAAAAAAAAATED it. I swear to god to do everything on a vacation that you want to do each day you have to get up just as early as you would for school. What kind of vacation is that?

If I have to wake up at 7:30 in the morning to see a whale splash around in some water, eat over priced food and pretend to care that some retard in a costume is a cartoon character, you can count me out.

Even as a young lad in the 6th grade I knew Disney was an overpriced ripoff! I guess my eventual children will just have to hope their friends are generous and invite them along on their vacations.

You should set up a Shutterfly Share site (http://www.shutterfly.com/learn/newshare.jsp) and upload the pictures on there. And then write journal entries about your trip on your Share site so we can all get the play by play. Kinda like this site nima04.shutterfly.com.

But what I use to find funny is the same people that would say "You're going to Disney again? Didn't you get enough of it last time" with a disgusted look on their face, are the same assholes that go to the same place like Myrtle Beach or Ocean City but somehow thats ok.

For eats check out Mama ??? in MGM and The Brown Derby. The character lunch is great, but you need reservations. The MExican place in Epcot is very good and pretty cool too. We usually gor end Oct beg. november when Epcot has the Food & Wine Festival and it's great.

Worth going to in there is Tower of Terror, Rock 'N Rollercoaster, Muppets 3-D,

Sounds like you had a blast. I'm going in November. Haven't been there in ages. Really excited now.

Before this, I hadn't been to WDW since I was 8 or 9. I loved it, even though my legs & back ached every day.

I highly recommend splitting up the time you're there, take a day in the middle of your vacation to stop at Typhoon Lagoon, spend a day soaking in water rides. The wave pool is very cool, you just bob around in a huge lagoon & wait for the wave to build up & slam down on ya. I lost my shades like 4 times to big waves. :) Doing this made the rest of the walking much easier, as even though you're walking around the water park, you're getting wet all day so it doesn't feel as bad as when you're wandering around Epcot or Hollywood Studios in the sun & humidity all day with no water on you to break it up.

As for food, Boma at the Animal Kingdom Lodge is top notch. I also liked Ohana, they do polynesian food, really tasty. The desert at the end will make your mouth water.

The Hulk rollercoaster ruled. As did Tower of Terror in Universal.

Boardwalk is nice. I used to be a DVC member and we stayed there. We liked it alot but we usually stayed at Beach Club because of the pool area called Stormalong Bay. Next time you go I would say to try and stay at the Beach or the Yacht Club that way you have access to it and you can chill there. And as you know you would still be in the Boardwalk area within walking distance to Epcot and MGM err I mean Hollywood studios.

I used to work at Beaches and Cream at the Beach Club. I didnt care for it there so I transferred to Ohanas. I only worked breakfast but have ate there at night, and like you said the dessert is awesome.

Cannot wait until I go in January, I miss living down there so much.

I didn't have any real problems with breakfast, the trick is to get in on the end of breakfast, so the crowds are less. If you arrive at 10 am or so, most of the early birds are gone.

I left the 31st. WE had a blast although it was hell hot. If you want to spend a beautiful day by a fantastic pool go over to the Grande Lakes Resort which is a JW Marriott/ RItz Carlton prop. They charge $10 per day for parking and if you go during the week you can prob use the pool without notice. It is a lazy river pool super nice and very relaxing. Towels provided. Worth the trip @ 15 minutes max from Disney 5 minutes from SeaWorld.

Going to Disney soon. Anyone know of a decent spa? After a few days of traipsing through the parks I think a massage (legit, of course) will be in order. I looked at Disney & they seem pricey. Just wondering if anyone knows of a different resort/free standing day spa.

Thanks!

My wife used to be an esthetician at the Spa at Disneys Grand Floridian when we lived down there. It is a bit pricey. the spas at Disney are actually run by a company called Niki Bryan Spas. They also run a spa at a resort called Light House key which is pretty close to Disney on 192. Its still almost $100 for a 50 minute massage. Not sure if your still interested but the website is www.relaxedyet.com

You also could look for nearby massage schools as most of them have clinics for recent grads to get some experiance. I know one of our friends did this, but I think the school was pretty far from Disney.

Not really, as long as when you're trying to get dinner you get a fairly early start, and expect to wait 1/2 hr to an hour, but typically we were seated within a half hour. Not bad at all.

If anyone goes down to Orlando I can't recomend Discovery Cove enough! It is an amazing place, its pricy but as long as you like swiming and wildlife you will enjoy it. The wife and I did "Twilight discovery" it was like 150 bills per person, but you don't pay for any food or drink while your in the park. There are a bunch of snack and beverage stands that even feature beer and maybe wine. There is a nice lazy river to just chill in, a artificial coral reef to snorkel through (All wetsuits and goggles provided free with admission) as well as a cool sting ray lagoon. There is also a bird sanctuary that birds will land on you if you feed them, I fucking hate birds so I didn't appreciate that part at all. You get to "swim" with a dolphin for 30 min (Really just stand there with a group of 6 and they call them over you pet them and take pictures and then they do tricks) but neat non the less. The dinner is AMAZING there is every type of food there chicken, steak, seafood, fish and more deserts then you can even imagine. All in all its expensive but well worth it when you figure the dinner itself would prob be 50 a plate.

Which one Riverside or French Quarter. I have stayed at Riverside before and liked it. When I worked for Disney I filled in a few nights at Boatwrights.

We are going down for a wedding in Nov., and are going to make a Disney trip out of it. I am staying off property on I drive at a place called the Fountians. My friend got us a good deal on a 2br condo.

With a family, condos are the only way to go on vacation anymore. Its so nice to have the space. More bedrooms, bathrooms,TVs for the kids, washer/dryer so you can pack less shit, kitchen so you can make quick breakfasts and a big fridge for drinks. It rules.

I bought a 2 BR time share condo years ago at Orange Lake Country Club.
Best thing I ever did. 3 miles from the Mouse House and full amenities.
It was great when the kids were young.

Now it's nice because everywhere we go they have to give us top of the line
accommodations since we have a 5 star unit right there.

Recently went to Tennessee to visit family and we had a 2 bedroom unit, fully
loaded and there was just the 2 of us.

My wife and I wanted to try and stay in every hotel but that changed once we stayed at Coronado Springs. I think the problem was we were DVC members and my wife kind of became a hotel snob and got used to having a 1 or 2br unit, which in my opinion is better then a deluxe room. So she didnt like going from a 1br to just a normal hotel room. I have to admit, it does kind of suck when you are used to much better.

If you and your girl go that often maybe you should look into DVC. If you google dvc resales you can get one alot cheaper then buying direct through Disney.

Went to Animal Kingdom today just got back.....A lil warm today no rain. There were hardly any savages(brazilians) there today, but lots of our peeps fron England they were everywhere. I wonder if they are on Holiday or some shit?

Here a lil funny for the day:
We where heading to breakfast this morning and on the elevator. We got on with a lady and her kid in a stroller. The lady looked at the our boy and said, "how old are you?" He said, "5 and my birthday is this weekend." She said, "oh, my daughter just turned 5 she is ONLY in preschool so we are not missing any school to be at Disney." and she strolled her happy ass off of the elevator. I looked at the wife and she said "I should have kicked that bitch in the cunt, no judgment." I loffed and we carried our happy ass to breakfast.

Just packed the cooler and heading to the pool @ the Dolphin/Swan Resort for an hour or two then prolly goin to the Disney Boardwalk. TTFN (no homo)
