To anyone that likes Slipknot is this there best one to date or is it just because they haven't released anything since 05?

It's a pretty bitchin' album. I like it way more than "Vol. 3". They continue to show the same kind of growth as they did on the last album (mainly the use of clean vocals in parts of some songs), but there is a bit of a return to the "Iowa" sound as well.
My personal favorites (the whole thing is pretty much listenable):
- Gematria (The Killing Name)
- Vendetta
- Snuff
- All Hope is Gone

Some of it is very Stone Sour esque....Which I like. The first 4-5 tracks are awesome, as well as, Suff and All Hope is Gone..It grows on me with each listen.
I do love Vol 3 though and it would take alot for it to pass that.

From the sample's I heard it does sound like Corey does a split between Stone Sour and Slipknot.

Anyone seeing Slipknot at MSG tomorrow night? It's my first time seeing them. They've been on my list of bands to see for about five years now.

It's an ok album. S/T is still their best IMO. They were good when I saw them in 2000 and 2002.

Their MSG show was okay. I think the time to see them was on the Pledge of Allegiance tour with System of a Down in 2001-2002. Don't go to their show expecting what you saw on the Disasterpieces DVD.
