Didn't like it. They have been a band who has played off of their influences but this time it was a bit too much. It's a shit Queen song and the singer Matthew Bellamy tries to sing out of his range (too low) on it and he just sounds fucking silly. Really dislike that song.

Yes, but what I heard is that, unlike Lateralus and AEnima, the tracks on 10KD are meant to be played at the same time as the song "10KD". Not as lead in tracks (i.e get a multitrack program, place the songs so that they start together, and the weird tracks will "augment" 10KD. That's what I've heard, anyway).

And about the 5 year thing - as far as I'm concerned, it just increases the chances of every album being good. Enough with bands rushing albums that end up tepid. I'd rather wait 5 years for a kick ass album than 2 for a mediocre one.

Yes, but what I heard is that, unlike Lateralus and AEnima, the tracks on 10KD are meant to be played at the same time as the song "10KD". Not as lead in tracks (i.e get a multitrack program, place the songs so that they start together, and the weird tracks will "augment" 10KD. That's what I've heard, anyway).

And about the 5 year thing - as far as I'm concerned, it just increases the chances of every album being good. Enough with bands rushing albums that end up tepid. I'd rather wait 5 years for a kick ass album than 2 for a mediocre one.

yea thats pretty true, didn't think about that. On the other hand undertow was released a year after opiate and that album was awesome...However Tool was a more simple band back then and opiate was only an EP.
