I was wondering if anyone knows anything about these guys. I just heard their title track on a local station and now I'm hooked.

I think I'm too young to know who the misfits are. I guess I'll go and listen to a few songs now. Thanks.

I heard about them like a month ago and saw the video for their song "No. 5" on Fuse the other day. That shit is catchy. As per youtube the video is almost 2 years old. I downloaded the album and it's meh. All about 40's and slapping bitches blah blah blah. With the masks their like a rap/metal slipknot.

All of their songs tend to sound the same after a while on their new cd. Their ep though is good

I'm 27 and grew up in a rural town in northern Wisconisin. I never met a black person till I was 18 and going to college. It sucks up here. Until I got access to the internet my life was fucking boring as hell. Since this was posted I' have listened to them and they are good. It just takes someone to tell me what bands are good so that I can look them up and listen.

I'm glad these guys seem to be making it. I remember when they exploded on myspace a couple years ago. They were actually the first band signed to myspace records. I was at this big myspace halloween concert at Dodger Stadium in like 2005 and they premiered their video. At that point they had never even performed live.
Like a year or two later I stopped by a club in Hollywood where one of my friends was working the door and one of these dudes was also working the door at that point. Fox was uncomfortable with them being the first band on myspace records so they got dropped and then bumped around for a while. It had to be pretty rough to get really close then lose it. Then luckily someone else picked them up.
Not really my kind of music, but I'll admit it's fucking catchy.

I'm not judging their talent or that it happened, but how does a band get signed without ever performing live? It just doesn't make sense to me.

That's the age we live in now. They get this huge internet buzz.... Happened with Linkin Park too. They got a huge internet following, then they got signed. I remember Crazy Town back in the late 90's just kept sending out their demo to companies. They were just a studio band and had never performed a live gig before they go signed.

As I remember it they had been plastering their stickers all over LA for a while. They put up their songs on myspace and I don't know what you want to call it lightning in a bottle or some other lame phrase, but they were the most played band on myspace for a long time. And this was at the same point that other really high profile bands were premiering their music on myspace.
I had to write a bullshit business report for work about this sort of thing when this was going down and I remember being surprised how they had way more "friends" then pretty much every band on myspace except for Fall Out Boy. And that was with no label backing them.

I totally get using myspace or any other means to get yourself heard and doing mass guerrilla marketing to get your band's name out. It's smart. The Insane Clown Posse did the exact same thing in the Midwest, one city at a time, and got a huge following as a result. However, they were performing shows the whole time. I'm just shocked that these bands never did shows before.

Actually saw these guys last week at The Bamboozle West (don't even ask why I wound up at a show that was basically fifty bands across seven stages that sound like Fall Out Boy) but Hollywood Undead actually did a really fun set.
Kids were going crazy. They had guys playing drums and keyboards and they were really high energy. They actually went on right after that white rapper Asher Roth who was one of the worst live acts I've ever seen.
My only complaint was the masks came off towards the end of the set. I thought they should of milked that shit for a long time.

Did you see the Deftones?
I had contemplated flying to Cali to catch their first show since Chi's coma.

I'm sick of bands that wear masks. It's just a gimmick to get noticed anymore. Fuck them in their fuckholes.
