Let's go for a burger
Let me get this straight: A U.S. president is kidnapped by aspiring ninjas in 1988's “Bad Dudes,” and upon being rescued by two vigilantes from New York City, the only thing the commander in chief can offer in return is a burger and a few laughs? And you thought the current administration was inept. Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha!

Since you put it that way...
You'd be hard-pressed to find a more cosmopolitan video game than “Grand Theft Auto IV” and its lovable Croatian protagonist, Nico Bellic. And it's difficult to encounter a more cleverly delivered line than when Nico is asked by collaborative thugs: "Are you in big guy, or are we going to have to kill you?" His reply with a forceful sigh: "Well, since you put it that way, I'm in!" Good answer.

The princess is in another castle
You cannot be serious! After defeating seven mini Bowsers in seven different castles while playing through “Super Mario Bros,” I'm greeted with the same matter-of-fact response from Toad, the humanoid mushroom guard of the kidnapped princess: "Thank you Mario! But our princess is in another castle!" Next time direct me to the real castle, m'kay?

I'm all out of gum
Oh, Duke Nukem! How we love thee. You're the epitome of video game campiness, and we can't get enough of your playful delivery. With lines like: "It's time to kick ass and chew bubble gum... and I'm all out of gum," we're willing to wait 11 more years to finally play “Duke Nukem Forever.”

Get over here!
Video games, meet maturity. Maturity, say hello to "edge." In 1992, few could predict the aggression, political controversy and impact of a game called “Mortal Kombat,” Midway's gory (and arguably more entertaining) response to Capcom's family-friendly “Street Fighter II.” And it all started with Scorpion's cocky "Get over here," spoken aloud whenever the black-and-yellow-clad ninja grappled opponents with a retractable meat hook. Nice!

Is perhaps more than deserving (the phrase spawned a major Internet meme at the turn of the decade).
