It's a total clusterfuck right now. They're sending them out in waves with no reason or logic to who is in what wave. They said everyone will get they're code within the day.

There was also a beta sign-in website that you could have signed up on for a chance to receive the beta.

I can't remember but was there an issue of Qore that gave access to the beta?

Yeah, i didnt get it. Preordered on 8/25. Im going there tomorrow to find out if they are doing a midnight rlease on the 21st, ill see what the deal w/ my code is.

Not that it is a HUGE deal for me. I have enough stuff to play instead of the beta.

ok, I played for about an hour and there's no fucking way I can play FPS games on a console. The control just isn't there like what I get on a PC. So, I'm writing off this genre on consoles unless they support k+m controls...it's just too frustrating trying to follow someone across the screen with an analog stick.

why use an adapter? wouldn't a bluettooth keyboard/mouse work with the PS3?

no, the gameplay is mapped directly to the gamepad controls, you can't simply use a bluetooth k+m and have the game recognize it...it has to be hard coded into the game....they did it for Unreal Tournament 3.

i just played it a few minutes ago and i have to say i'm impressed.

I played through the 8-player co-op mission as a Medic and I was really impressed as well. It helped that everyone had a mic but everything I needed to know was on-screen (like everyone's health bars) even if they were off-screen somewhere else.

The best way I can describe the co-op mission is Insomniac took an 8-player instance run from World of Warcraft then transformed it to play as a console shooter.

I'll be buying this on day one. Between LBP and R2, I'm set for the rest of the year. :)

Despite not honoring my beta invite I keep getting messages thanking me for supporting them and being in the beta.

Fuck Insomnia. I supported them fully and they have to rub it in.

I'm cancelling my preorder for this game. I'm in a pissy mood and their constant fuck-ups regarding this just pisses me off more.

i played for a few hours last night...this game's fan-fucking-tastic.....have already experienced a few holy shit moments...... it's met my expectations and lived up to all the hype from the trailers

Then get the first one. Its greatest hits. Its great and probably needed to fully understand 2. From what I am reading the single player mode isnt up to par with multiplayer, and multiplayer online, but is still very good.

I had the most fun playing 2 player local co-op with the first one.

Play with a friend and player 2's stats dont save?

Why bother allowing for split screen if player 2 is useless...

Otherwise the game is great.
