Hi PixelJunkies! I’m Matt Morton, Associate Producer at SCEA Santa Monica Studio and I’ve had the great fortune of working on the PixelJunk series since the very first title, PixelJunk Racers. We’ve been working hard to keep spreading the PixelJunk Love (as Deb Mars calls it) and wanted to give you a heads up on the upcoming patch for PixelJunk Monsters and PixelJunk Monsters: Encore.

The patch will be releasing VERY soon, with Japan getting the first patch release on October 23. If all goes well with final testing, you will see the patch in SCEA and SCEE territories on October 30. If there are any delays to the above mentioned dates, we will be sure to update the blog to let you know about it, so stay tuned!

Here's something nice:
Trophies are now added for both PixelJunk Monsters and Encore. We weren’t able to retroactively apply Trophies to the previously played data, but Q-Games didn’t want to force people to play everything all over again. They came up with a great idea by creating Trophy Challenges. These challenges have specific maps with set rules or objectives that will reward you with Trophies if you complete them properly.

Nice. I enjoyed this game but the trial and error game play and the brutal winning conditions (Need a perfect match to open up new parts) was too much for me. I have other games to play and didnt want to spend 10 hours with maps and charts to play through each one.

Will be nice to "cheat" by watching and emulating youtube vids.

Now that this is done, I hope they start working on additional content for Eden.

I tried the demo for Eden and just didn't like it...too frustrating.

I tried the demo for Eden and just didn't like it...too frustrating.

The demo was what, 3 levels?

Try levels 6-10. Threw a controller in frusturation and it exploded. That game taxed each and every one of my gaming skills.

I'm at 95% trophies, and would be at 100% had I not destroyed my third controller.

I loved/hated that game.
