They should get Lazlo or some other tech savy person on the show to explain this stuff to them. I don't think they understand any more about it than that chick in line. Like Jimmy didn't understand that it's open source and he doesn't have to get it from T-Mobile. They were just the first to get theirs to market.

Yeah, the T Mobile thing is what prevented me from running out and getting one today. I'm probably going to do one more round of Blackberry with the Bold (again, I'd get the Storm if it weren't on Verizon) then wait for the next gen Androids on other carriers.
I'd love to hear from anyone who's got one, though. Definitely something worth keeping tabs on.

The G1 is, but the Android Phone concept is open-source and open to all carriers. The G1 is just the T-Mobile version of the tech, and first to hit the market.

I got one today, I have tmobile already so it made sense for me. Its going well so far, there are some minor design issues with the phone itself, but nothing major. The 3g network is up in my area and seems to work well. One big dissapointment is that the browser doesn't support flash, the only way to see videos online is to use the youtube app/ this will probably be fixed soon.

None of the iPhone fanboys want to believe that smartphones have been out for YEARS and that almost anything an iPhone can do, many other phones can do, too.
I've been using a Windows Mobile phone for over a year and a half (I bought it so I could do my rundowns on it) and before that I was using Symbian smartphones since 2003.

I wasn't really sure why the guys were desroying the other day. I guess that there wasn't people lining up for it. I have the phone and never heard it called the iphone killer. Just it is more competition. Everyone tries to validate their purchases, I love the boys but they sounded like nintento fanboys.
