Ah yes, I remember I saw Down after the second album came out in NYC. Phil was so fucked up his eyes were just all pupils. They fucking kicked ass.

Then I saw them a few months later on the "Day Off Fest of Ozz-fest" He was REALLY messed up and talking so much shit to the crowd.

Too bad Pantera will never be again :(

i pretend that Venom and Tears by Throwdown is a new Pantera album all the time.

I can never forgive him for breaking up Pantera. Dime, my idol, would still be alive.....

To this day, I still don't know how that scumbag was able to get a gun into the club. I have been to more than 2 dozen shows held at bars and clubs and on every occassion people were frisked before they were allowed to enter.

my favorite phil moment is when he was on the heart tribute. He sang a song with alice in chains (would?). Between songs they interviewed Heart, AIC, Phil, Duff, Navarro etc...

They asked phil about heart and he obviously didn't know shit about them and had to talk his way out of it.

I think the guy entered around the back and didn't go through the whole process of properly entering the club. Also remember that the club was on the shitty side of things and wasn't the most reputable place.

Well here's the deal on that. No silly goose talk from me here...

I feel that Phil was the reason and blame him for the breakup of Pantera. And this isn't from that one time in which I saw the VH1 Behind the Music in 2006 (which I will never will be able to watch again because I cannot stand to see Dime's father cry like that). In 2003, there was supposed to be a new album from Pantera, but Phil's arguments with Dime and burning the bridges made me lose almost all respect for him. Yes he's a hell of a singer, but as a person he dissapoints me, which makes me wonder, if anyone had to go. Well, couldn't it have been Phil and not dime?

Years ago there was a club called the Backroom in Austin, I was on the billiards side when Down was setting up for that nights show on the concert side. Getting a beer at the bar Phil was over there talking to the manager. "God damn man it's been a long time since I've been here but this place always feels like home to me" Phil said to him. When Phil left, the manager went and chatted with me and the bartender, "Holy shit, Phil was just here last month with Superjoint" I met Phil that day too, and the eyes makes him looks like he just isnt there, but damn he was a cool guy to talk to.
