Lots of channels being axed and merging with Sirius.

Beyond Jazz is gone :(
I think XCountry will be gone. Double :(

XM is getting Jam On and the Grateful Dead channel.
Lots of other shit happening.

From : radioandrecords.com

As America now comes together, basking in the post-election afterglow, Sirius and XM appear to be ready to do the same. R&R has now confirmed what we recently alluded to: Next Wednesday, Nov. 12 will be D-Day for channel realignment. As we speak, jocks and sweepers on both services are alerting listeners to channel moves going down that day. We expect most, if not all, format duplication will probably be eliminated at that time, so expect to see a bunch of channels disappear with the changes.

I think their financial position doesn't allow them that kind of time.

Fuck I'm into that Beyond Jazz channel. It's chill and has a very ecclectic range of music as opposed to these fucking one artist stations. Grateful Dead. Ugh. And Ethel has been shit since the merger.

XM tech support just told me 202 could be one of the channels being axed as I have a trouble ticket opened on why the 202 preset will not stay.
I was told they may not being doing anything because they are going to be doing away with channel.
Bbbbboys maybe going away or at least to different channel?

Contract or not lets not get caught sitting on our butts.

The Grateful Dead channel has already gone better than the AC/DC channel, considering it has been around for a long time (at least a year, longer maybe?) on Sirius. And I am excited to finally be getting another jam band channel since they took away the one XM had.

Meh, get an ipod if you want to listen to music.

I wouldn't worry about the Virus going away - Worst case scenario they move them to a common channel on both platforms, everyone has to change their pre-sets, and Sleeves has to update the sweeper. No big deal.

Whatever the channel number ends up being, I can't imagine the virus being on dual channels after the reorganization.

My guess, The Virus will be on 99 so it's close to Howard. Or 102.

Also, based on today's USA Today ad, RawDog is coming to XM (replaces XM Comdey channel), so this mean you can listen to Jim Breuer on XM.

I'm hoping that XM get Sirius' Outlaw Country.

It is more gooder.

Shooter Jennings has a great show followed by Mojo Nixon.

all ac/dc
and coming soon all gratefull dead and all led zeppelin
first off i like gratefull dead but i don't have the urge to listen to more than 2 GD songs in a row, and if i wana listen to led zeppeling ill turn off my xm and listen to krock...I got xm 1/2 for O&A and 1/2 because I was tired of hearing led zeppelin on krock also it seems like just yesterday that there was a all led zeppelin channel.

I doubt it.
I can't see it costing all that much money.
And I thought that Ronnie said last week that they had plans for some new interviews.

I think the right thing to do for the company is to tell the RIAA to go fuck itself and to drop all the music channels. Most people have all the music they want, and doing that will save a shitload of cash.
Be a source of original programming, news and talk, sports, and emergency services.
Times have changed.

Looks like The Virius is coming off Direct TV, again. This time it does not look as if it is the boys alone. Oprah's channel is being taken off also. I guess they are not having any talk on Dish or Direct TV.

That's too bad, even though I never used the feature.
I assumed it was coming, since Dish has Sirius music only. Mel never gave them any programming beyond that, so I figured he'd pull everything but music off DTV too. Probably provide them both the exact same channel selections.

There needs to be an all KISS channel

I never liked Kiss, always thought they were third rate at best. I think the band knew that, so they had to wear makeup and costumes to make up for theit lack of musical talent

Shifting my DTV guide to Wednesday...it does indeed say "The Virus Has Been Removed By XM". Ugh.

Unfortunately, this time around...DirecTV isn't the one taking The Virus off their lineup...it's SiriusXM. We got it back last time because we complained in droves to DirecTV...now we'd have to complain to SiriusXM which is sure to go nowhere. Mel doesn't want exclusive content available.

Sucks.

I can confirm these replacements as far as Dtv goes. Squizz, ethel, pretty much all xm rock stations blow dog 24/7. So this is like Xmas for me. Virus gone from Dtv sucks major cock!

(I am sure this has been posted elsewhere...sorry)

I loved Jimmy and Friends rant this morning regarding the DJ's. They were really slamming how the DJ format is now saying back in the XM days, the DJ's were there but did not make it about them. It WAS more of a unique and classy feel when the XM DJ's were on and did not mirror FM radio. Jimmy says he hates it now when the DJ's talk over the music and can see the reason why some people are moving to IPODS now. They basically said shut T.F.U. If I am guaging correctly, this replay will be on around 5:15pm est or so today. (XM202 / SIRIUS 197 via the Best Of XM)
