Don't you understand, they can only talk about stuff that interests HIM.
And its not like they are doing a bit, its just conversation. Why should everything be pre-packaged and hokey horseshit? Sometimes the best moments are started by actual conversation.
There are problems with the show, but this isn't one of them.
If you are a faggot who doesn't like sports, then just turn it off when they talk about sports. And don't worry your precious little heads, it will be over soon enough once baseball playoffs are over (or the Yankee season, whichever).

Thanks for calling me out on this one.  I'll readily admit that the show isn't nearly as good since early XM or even WNEW. Why? Because O&A can't do any of the interesting shit without lawyers being involved. I'm not a regular caller and if you'd bother to read a LT once in a while, you'd see a few people talking plainly about the show. Awful Me comes to mind.
