What I loved about the original Diana was that even though she was an alien, she didn't acted like one. She acted like an icy cold bitch who just happen to be a lizard. That's the problem I have with the new villainess. From what I have seen, she's talking in that robotic monotone voice of a sterotypical alien.

As for the original TV series, after rewatching a couple of the episodes, I could see why it didn't last that long. They really should have ended it with the Final Battle.

Here's a pretty positive early review of the pilot ;

This show was reduced to a mini series, because the Reptilians own the media and want it that way, Maaaaaannnnn. I wonder if Art Bell will have some kind of Reptilians discussion.

I thought it was the shadow people who pulled V's plug?

Ultimately if it does well ABC will extend its run, and if it does poorly they'll spin it and say that it was always meant to be a miniseries.

I loved this show back in the 80's. I've had a good time watching the episodes on SyFy, but this morning my wife said, "Please, no more aliens."

Was there a better stock hard ass in the 80's than Michael Ironside?

Slightly spoilery interview with Elizabeth Mitchell :

http://popwatch.ew.com/2009/11/02/el...bted-at-first/

And apparently there will be a new showrunner for the back 9 :

Is the election going to fuck up the airing of this in New York and New Jersey? Seems like a fucking poor idea to start a new series at the same time the polls close in one of the largest markets in the country.

Let me know if they do I find it interesting, the whole news vs entertainment portions of these networks is always an interesting love hate relationship with the news thinking they are way more important. The one good thing going for it is, NJ is too close so there won't be any victory speeches getting in the way.

If this first episode is any indication, it seems like it's gonna be pretty good.

I thought it was good. I didn't like it as much as the Flashforward pilot, but I think it has a higher potential to not take a nosedive like Flashforward kind of did. That whole changing show-runners and only ordering 4 episodes thing makes me a little nervous though.

I now have something to watch on Tuesdays.

I liked the first episode. Elizabeth Mitchell is hot, but Laura Vandervoot is hotter.

I didn't read the article, but I think that's what its getting at, and I thought there was a little bit too, especially with them highlighting universal health care.

Hard to say for certain what the angle is. I'm very skeptical that something out of Hollywood would be critical of Obama. But, you could definately pick up allegory to Obama if you wanted to. From the immediate clapping of people after the initial speech, to the direct reference to the promise of universal health care.
