Selling stuff on craigslist
My wife and I are expecting our first kid in a month. So I've been getting the house ready for when the baby arrives.
So I'm pretty much done with all of the work I did to the house and decided to get rid of some things on craigslist.
It's mostly things that were cluttering up the basement or garage. So I post the stuff, and get nothing but the stupidest people in the world emailing me about it. I haven't emailed them back yet. Should I even bother?

I put my Jeep on craigslist last year. Took a few pictures, and put it up for 1,500 more than i would have taken.
I received 4 or 5 calls that same afternoon. A very cute girl who worked two blocks from my place, shared the same mechanic as her father came over that night. Bought the thing two days later, in cash. I was like, YAY.

Craigslist can work, I've bought and sold a few things using it.
Deal in cash and in person only. Never mail anything and never take anything in payment other than cash, and you can't go wrong.

I've sold some stuff on Craigslist too and agree with all the above, but I also never make my home a meeting point for sales. Seems an obviousl point, but I'll always pick a nuetral site if possible.

Auto Parts, Laminate Flooring at 1/2 price than what I paid for it.
My house is definitely out of the question as a meeting place. It will be a public place and I will be carrying my pistol with me.

i have two buddies that sell shit on craigs list all the time they buy also. i also sold my boat through craigs list... and yes every time someone came over to see the boat the were met buy the dogs.... and a curious bulge under my shirt... that being said boy did i get a bunch of douche bags calling about the boat. im so glad that the guy that finally did buy it was cool.... i had one asshole that wanted me to strip all the extras off and deliver it to some place in Jersey for 5k less than i was asking then he got all pissy when i told him no
