ok so i know its a little early and i cant set up the league yet but im trying to get a headstart on who wants in and what kinda league we wanna do this year.

one of the main things that happens is the fact not everyone can make a live draft so i was thinking that maybe we could run the draft here in this forum(depending on wether stingray or any mods would have a problem with it that is ) setting a 24 hour time limit per pick (course i wuold hope it wouldnt take that long each pick) that way everyone involved has time to make the best pick for their team and look at some stats unlike yahoo who gives you 1:30 seconds to make a pick.

another thing i was wondering if anyone would like to make this a keeper league and keep say 3 guys and 1 rookie per year or just do the standard h2h redraft style year to year. id like to get at least 12 (hopefully) good owners who are going to play the whole time and not just stop mid season (we had a pretty good thing going in football this year and most people stuck with it all season) .

so anyone interested i guess post it up here and vote on the poll and give me your thoughts on how yould like things to go.

I'd definitely be interested and I am one of those good owners who won't disappear. I personally lean towards the redraft league just because it's more likely here to have owners come in and out after a year or two. The only keeper league I do is with a group of really good friends where people aren't going anywhere. A live draft would be tough, I like the idea of doing it in a forum here if people are cool with it.

I think it my be hard to have a post by post draft in a forum here...keeping track and all.
I like the cheat sheet provided by yahoo,it's broken down by positions and there is no chance whatsoever of drafting a player who's already been picked..lol..I can see it coming.
I don't know,maybe it'll go smooth.

oh...non keeper league.

actually im involved in a post by post draft on another forum i blelong to and in round 9 so far there has only been one incorrect pick and it was fixed almost immediately . the only problem i could see is that we would need at least one mod to be able to edit a players taken post so people could figure that out. (hopefully one will join) (i would also keep a going tab on the players taken since i will nedd it to input players later when the league gets created). there are plenty of fantasy sites other than yahoo to get projections from and you can print out palyer lists and keep track if you so wished.

anyways either way atleast we can get the idea out there early and hopefully get enough teams and stick with it owners to make a competetive league.

Please include me in any baseball league that we are doing in the Wackbag league. I would prefer a H2H auto draft league..I've done Sportingnews, ESPN and Yahoo last year, and Yahoo's free league was the best by far, even better than the paid ones on ESPN and Sportingnews....that's my 2 cents.

it will be a yahoo league (as they all are ) . autodraft on the other im not a fan of. we have done live drafts on yahoo in the past and thats all i really care to do. im not abig fan of letting yahoo decide who im going to have on my team (since i dont really agree with any of their rankings ever.and im not going to go through each one and pre rank 300 players.) .

Agreed on the live draft, I'm not really interested if its auto pick. If we did it here we'd just pick an offline draft and once we're done someone can input the results.

yep which is me since im the commish. i do it every year for the football league i run .

I would join would be good to be in a league with wackbaggers. I agree on the live draft no auto draft ever works right. How would you determine draft order?

if we did it here i would get someone that is outside the league (but a wackbag member) to enter then names in this program here http://www.profantasysports.com/Tack...Randomizer.php

it randomizes the draft order. otherwise if we do the draft on yahoo after the league is set up yahoo will predetermine the draft order before the draft.

You can have that job, I do it for just about every league with my friends. Usually not a pain in the ass but I'll be one of the common folks for this league.

not a prblem with me as long as your interested in playing it out for the season.

so we so far have 8 peeps at least 2 to 4 more and were off and rolling. i will send out pm's to all involved before we start anything to make sure everyone is still interested in being involved. might have to throw one wacks way and see if he wants in this year.

Just a suggestion, should we keep it at 10 teams? 12 to me is the max and even at that point you're really getting down in the depths of players when it comes to your bench.
