Thumbs up Ripken Jr to Retire...

Future Hall of Famer Cal Ripken Jr will call it quits after the end of this season. He has played a long time and wants to spend more time with his family. Injuries where not the reason he decided to retire. Thanks for the memories.

I have a question. Did Cal ever win a World series? I hate when players like him can't reach that pinnacle, even though he reached every other one. He will be missed, he's the Ironman of all Baseball.

Mav, I got this from espn, Ripken was American League rookie of the year in 1982 and was selected league MVP in 1983 and 1991. He won a World Series championship with the Orioles in 1983.
