Yeah, I'd love to watch the show, but I really cannot afford it either. Too bad XM won't allow us to watch as part of our subscription.

Even if XM did all that paltalk did it would cost so much that we will have to pay somehow. Paltalk already has the resources in place to take advantage of and we just have to join. For XM to start from scratch would be expensive. There would need to be servers and routers in place to handle the feeds and the associated personnel (expensive personnel at that). Each time somebody logs on and starts up a cam takes up some bandwidth. Imagine a huge amount of people logging on and bringing up a cam and what do you have? A huge bandwidth that needs to be serviced. That gets very costly quickly.

I don't think anyone is bitching about the price.
I would be more than happy to pay it, I think the price is worth it.
Unfortunately I can NOT afford to lay out $40 for a year subscription.
If there were a way to go month to month I would give it a shot.

I remember years ago that the StinkyCam was free and worked quite well for me.
I already pay to hear them, O&A are getting paid big bucks and I'm sure Steve C. makes some cash from ad revenue on Foundry. For any of us loyal fans to pay for this service simply invites them to make more things for us to pay for and/or raise the prices.
Frankly I think I've paid enough while other people get rich. I paid for the radio, I'm paying for the subscription because I like the show and I want to be involved. I'll wear my O&A Army cap with pride and display my WOW stickers and Spread the virus any way I can, but I am sick of being taken for a cash cow.
I'd love to see the video, but I have a family to support and I'm on a strict budget. Hey guys, swing a deal with E! or some cable channel willya! Stop ekeing the pennies from your fanbase!
As for bandwidth, replay it through the day and people will be able to log in when the servers aren't as busy. Perhaps archive the video for a week or two for download before trashing it to make room for new stuff. As for cost, well, XM is growing by leaps and bounds and if it has to spend a little to make the fans happy, then so what, let em. They won't do that though because of all the lemmings that subscribed to PalTalk.
Ah fuck it.

Right now its an "underground" type thing. Its not really an XM thing, its a thing a show member is doing out of pocket.

I was envious, so I paid the money and downloaded it at work. They're pretty cool, but I'm hoping not to get in trouble for it.
My envy will come when there are so many people logging on, that when I get into my office at 8:30 the room will already be full.

First no one is making you pay for anything. Paltalk is not 3/4 of the show. Maybe 10 min, somedays more. This is something FANS started to do. Not O&A. What they did was set up a cam for the people who CHOOSE to get it. XM is not getting money from our subsat Paltalk neither is O&A. I'am a part of Paltalk. I'm not there for the live show. I signed up because its a place where the fans get together and I like to talk about the show and go on room raids. Honestly, you cheap fucks can't afford $40 for a YEAR? give me this Budget Shit. You have a Cell phone?, High Speed access? Cable Tv? Its $40 don't act like O&A are ripping anyone off, you just sound like an asshole.

Yeah, I hope they eventualy just get a second generation "stinky cam" (which I'm sure XM will get to around 2008, after they remove the cubicles)..
I know they don't spend a ton of tme on it, but whenever they do something for the paltalk people, they're basicaly broadcasting for 200 people. It would be nice to be able to pop on the cam when they're doing something interesting, without having to join the whole paltalk "clique"

What about the fans of the show that want to be able to see whats happening (living in Arkansas there is no chance that I can stop by the studio) without Doug's rants and all the other "pest" stuff? I don't want to see mediocre girls flashing, I don't want to go on room raids, I want the visual to go with my favorite radio show if I happen to be off work or have a spare moment. I understand it started as a fan thing, but now there is a studio cam (with more to come) and if you don't pay you miss out.
I'm not trying to be an ass, its just pretty frustrating for the fans that have to miss out.

No, I can not afford to lay out $40 in one shot.
You have to pay for a whole year up front.
Alimony and Child Support eat anough of my check already.
Not counting Rent, Food, Gas.........etc.
If they would bill you monthly it would make it a lot easier.
Besides, I'm not even able to listen to the show live.
I MyFi it at might and listen the next day.

Umm, my name is in there!!!
Not sure if you have been in there, but the show room is for ONE thing. To watch and hear whats in the studio. All mic's are muted but one. period.
Come in to my room, and you will hear me and other pests/fans/listeners/whatever. If you don't want to hear me, then, stay out of the room Wackbag Pest Chat. The room that I have, is the byproduct of Hummercash's room that started OVER A YEAR AGO. YES, myself and about 10-20 other wackbaggers have been doing this for close to 2 years. (Want to know how Ant found this?? He saw our room one night) So again, we aren't going to alter shit for anyone that comes into our room and doesn't want to see whatever.
But again, the show room, is a separate thing.
