Default NFL Playoff Fantasy League

How about a fantasy football league for the NFL playoffs this year?

The concept is simple. You submit a different lineup each week of the playoffs and score points based upon the performance of your players. You can only use each player one time (if you think the Broncos are going to play Atlanta in the Super Bowl, don't use Jake Plummer and Mike Vick in the first two weeks - you won't have a QB in the Super Bowl).

The rules are as follows:
You select one quarterback, one running back, one wide receiver or tight end, one kicker, and one team defense each week. I must have your lineup posted in this thread by midnight on Friday for the Wild Card and Divisional playoffs, and by Saturday at midnight for the Championship week and the Super Bowl. Failure to submit a lineup on time will result in zero points for the week, and that would not be cool. I will compile on a spreadsheet each person's picks and link it here before the start of the games on Saturday for the first two weeks and Sunday for the last two weeks.

Point scoring: For the QB, RB, and WR/TE - 1 point per 40 yards passing, 1 point per 15 yards rushing or receiving, 6 points for a touchdown scored (pass, run, or catch), 2 points for a two point conversion (pass, run, or catch). -2 points for an interception thrown or a fumble lost. For kickers - 1 point per extra point, 3 points per field goal. For the team - 2 points for each turnover forced, 1 point for each sack, 6 points for a defensive or special teams touchdown. Individual players do not get points for defense or special teams TDs, only the team defense. Kickers do not get points for any offensive stats.

I will send out scoring updates by Monday or Tuesday of each week so you can review/check for discrepancies/see where you stand.

I will send 5 DVDs from my collection to the winner (I'll post a list later).

If you want to play PM me and let me know or just submit a lineup.

PLEASE USE ANOTHER THREAD TO TRASH TALK! LINEUPS ONLY HERE.

Here are the players available for Wild Card Weekend. Have fun.

Nevermind. I'm cancelling this game since we only got 4 people and LifeHacker must be from Austrailia with those picks. Sorry.

Chester'sLiver
Delhomme – 140 yds pass, 1 TD – 9 points
Portis – 53 yard rushing, (-5) yds rec, 1 TD – 9 points
S. Smith – 12 yds rush, 1 TD, 84 yds rec, 1 TD – 17 points
Vinatieri – 4 XP – 4 points
Pittsburgh Def – 3 sacks, 2 INT – 7 points

Mick32
Palmer – 66 yds passing – 1 point
Barber – 41 yds rush, 28 yds rec – 3 points
C. Johnson – 59 yds rec – 3 points
Vinatieri – 4 XP – 4 points
Tampa Def – 2 sacks, 1 INT – 4 points

MystrE
Palmer – 66 yds passing – 1 point
C. Williams – 49 yards rush, 10 yds rec, 1 fumble lost – 1 point
Moss – 18 yds rec, 10 yds rush, 1 fumble lost – (-1) point
Kasay – 3 FG, 2 XP – 11 points
Cinncinnatti Def – 1 sack – 1 point

LifeHacker

Weinke, Chris QB CAR no fucking points but he did have –3 yards rushing since he was the one who knelt down with the ball on the last play of the game
Finn, Jim RB NYG no fucking points no fucking runs
Morgan, Quincy WR PIT no fucking points no fucking passes
Bryant, Matt K TB 1 FG, 1 XP – 4 points
Cinncinnatti Def – 1 sack – 1 point

The winner would have been Chester’s Liver with 46 points. Everyone else sucked.

Here’s mine from the pay league I am in.
E. Manning -4
Willie Parker 10
Steve Smith 17
Scobee 3
Washington 15
total 41
