I've never heard Ron and Ron. I also don't know ALOT about the history of the show.
Was Fez always on the show or was he like a third mic? I remember hearing that he was the producer?
Where is my Ron and Fez history tutorial?

fezzy was the producer along with tuttle. fezzy was kinda the gopher for the show. the show was just brilliant.

My cousin in Tampa used to tell me about the Ron and Ron show, but I never got to listen. What was Ron Diaz's job on the show? Was he the funny man to Ron's straight man? And if the show was on top, why did Diaz leave?

here it is...they moved the show from tampa bay to miami to 610 WIOD. Ronnie D didn't like the move because his wife was in tampa still. She also had a cancer and later died. Ronnie D just basically had a "breakdown" on air and that was it. Now Ronnie D is doing sports on a local station. He was never hit it big again. I was very happy when the show went to NYC and did well on WNEW. by the way WIOD had one of best line ups in radio.

when i lived in florida (oh gawd) the radio was just horrible. this was the only station i listened too.

6-10am ron and ron
10-2 The Neil Rogers Show (sidenote he should be on XM. Best show in south florida)
2-6 rick and suds (they suck)
6-10 The Phil Hendrie Show (yes he was on 610 for a while)
10-2 Sports and News
2-6 CNN headline news

it was sad about what happend to Ronnie D's wife and all but this was just cringe. i remember going to college at FAU and listening to this on my walkman. wow a walkman remember those?

neil rogers was a very good friend of their show. they use to do like "AFRO" shows. neil would go on their show and R and R would spill onto neil's show. neil would keep some of their soundbites on his website. this was just one that never seemed to disappear. just thought you would like to hear the falling out.

The Ron and Ian show is doing very well. If I remember correctly Ron and Fez were doing the crack babies skit right before the meltdown. I think Diaz told a caller about a year ago that he had talked to Bennington recently at that time and every thing was cool with each other. Diaz seems very comfortable with his current situation.

Ron & Ron were on in the '90 out of Tampa Fla. They were also in Jacksonville, Orlando, Miami, Savannah, Macon, Hilton Head, Tallahassie most of the larger markets of Fla & Ga. Ron D & Ron B were the hosts. Fez was kind of a third mic, but also did other things for the show. Flipper, FastEddie, Billy, BL, Paul O and Denise were also on the show. BL went on to do the sports chic show in Fla. Flipper was with a band called DGT (Dead German Tourists) I think he is still in Fla. No idea were Fast Eddie is now( I think he was fired for sexual harassmaent) he did production work and was kind of the radio geek. Paul O you know about. Bill, he was the producer, they would throw hard rubber balls at him (Ron B called them orbiters) it was funny ecause you would hear a crash and a yell in the background and Billy just got smashed with a ball. He also would fight women at live events...he was a bit odd.
Ron D was a work out guy, said that he spent lots of time at the gym, he was good on the show, but Ron B did most of the heavy liftin to make thing funny. Also Ron B had a commedy club in Tampa at the time.
That sound clip was strange, I rember hearing it over 10 years ago...kind of brought the thing back for me.

Dude, you think the guy is happy that Ron and Fez are nation wide and he is on some pissant Florida am station? He may not say it on air, but I will bet you whatever you want that deep down it is killing him he is doing next to nothing and Ron B. not only is on satelite radio, but was on WNEW and WJFK.

Ron D was having a tough time, his wife was sick, very sick and he wanted to spend more time with her. He is prob ok with the decision to stay with his wife untill she passed. Now he is a one market guy, and knows that thing could have been different.

i use to love it when paul o use to come into the studio. the stuff that ronnie b did to him was priceless. they need to get him in studio. along with fezzy's brother corky.

DGT and Fez and Paul O did a show in Savannah one weekend. They got one of those sling shots that take three people to fire and shot water ballons at Paul O. The second or third shot hit him dead center in the chest, took him off his feet, fell flat on his back. The shot was from about 35 ft. Very funny to watch.

The best bit that Ron & Ron had was with Singapore Air, the woman on the phone giving Ron B a tracking number with a Z in the code and she would say Z as in zeebra...Noooo you can not bring zeebra on ...
