John Edwards the psychic is a bigger piece of shit than John Edwards the Vice presidential candidate. Charlatan like this leech are garbage. They prey on people that are grieving the loss of a loved one and want to know that person is continuing on elsewhere.
If the dead could speak to us, there wouldn't be all of these bullshit rules that they can only make vague references to us that could be interpretted a million different ways. Instead, a loose pen would start writing on a blank piece of paper "Hey, it's Dad....I'm in heaven, everything is cool...ETC".

These shitbags play on coincidences and common occurances. I.E. the eleven thing. If you are focused on a number, a brand name, a color....you will see it everywhere. Especially a repeating double digit, a decade, or any number under 10. As for the dreams, most people have them about lost relatives. They can be really fucking vivid, no matter how ordinary the dream. The reason they are so vivid is that it is something you actually care about and are more likely to remember.

Like Opie, I unexpectedly lost my father several years ago and was there in the hospital when he died. Shit like that is very heavy to deal with, and I can point to many "bizarre circumstances" which I could look to as a sign from beyond. I was glad to hear that Opie maintained some skeptism, but I would've rather have heard him stab Edwards in his eye with a pen.

To paraphrase a line from an episode of M*A*S*H, "Never underestimate the stupidity of the American consumer." People will sit and watch this guy and hang on every word. I am somewhat skeptical myself, especially after hearing some other people discuss how to see through the overtly fake "mediums". Until I see or hear something to give me definitive proof that he has a true talent, I will remain skeptical.

On a different level, however, with all of the people that eat up his act, I can certainly see a place for him on XM. Hook him up with Oprah or on Take 5. The women will love it!

I can't say one way or another if there is an after life, I just don't believe spirits are contacting people. The only nerve that was struck with me was the "parasite" factor. I hate people that leech off of other people or manipulate them when they are emotional about something.
I have nothing against someone that cons stupid people out of their money, but what Edwards does is something entirely different. The people he targets aren't necessarilly stupid, just hurting emotionally . He is shittier than even litigation lawyers.

It is healthier for someone to move on and except the death of their spouse,friend, parent or child rather than to constantly try to communicate with them or look for signs from beyond. Right on sir. If someone needs help dealing with a loss, well, that's why we have friends, family members, and co-workers. If someone needs a professional, then there are grief counselors, clergy, therapists, etc.

Not a professional charlatan who really only cares about their fame and their wallet. I'm with you... Folks like Edwards really sicken me.

I just wanted to add that this rule applies to objects and circumstances too. I never noticed how many RVs and Trailers there were on the road until I started working in an RV Dealership.

John Edwards is pretty much a douche, any of this pseudo-science that people fall for to feel better about themselves, is garbage.
BUT I have had clock-number moments throughout my life, I tend to think its just something you notice, and you dont notice all the other numbers that have no meaning.
BUT last night, the ONE and ONLY time I looked at the digital clock in my kitchen, there it was: 9:11. It was a random glance, unconscious, and I was not thinking about the Opie story, until my eyes hit that. Does it mean anything? Nope. Still coincidences always peak my interest.
Also, Eleven was considered a mystical number, represented the letter "K"; Alistair (sp?) Crowley was into the number 11, and spelled "Magik" with a k because of it. I also notice spellings in the Bible (another text of the occult) using K, such as the word "Public" spelled "Publick".
