In theory, that sounds great! However, are O&A willing to give up P.M. Drive on the west coast to help out my Buddays? That would really be an incredible move in favor or R&F, and maybe part of the "Big Things in the works". But I am not ready to get my hopes up yet.

Maybe I can be one of those callers again. Only got on twice at JFK. Have yet to get through on XM, as it is nearly impossible while I'm at the office. I can barely listen to the show. 12-3 really sucks for me!

NO!!!
If I have to deal with commercials and Ron not being able to say fuck whenever he wants, I WILL cancel XM. If this is how Ron and Fez have to go about getting that timeslot, then I'd just as soon have them stay at 12:00-3:00. This is getting ri-goddamn-diculous. Fuck FreeFM. I know Ron and Fez wouldn't get the kind of deal to do uncensored content as well because XM doesn't give a fuck about them seemingly so we'd be stuck with fucking FreeFM fucking milky bullshit.

This would be a boon to Ron and Fez, but Ron's said a million times how happy he is right now, not having to worry about PDs, censors, ratings and the bullshit of terrestrial radio. I hope this is only a rumor.

The timeslot seems really cool for them.. I'd rather hear 'em on XM. It doesn't have to be OnA all the time on 202.
Now that I think of it some more.. I'd prolly miss R&F if they went completely to FM in that slot, since I haven't bothered to get FM cabled in my house. I live in a valley way the hell out in W. Jersey. (Clinton Twp.)

Maybe a format similiar to the OnA mornings? FM show in the afternoon, and XM nights or a little earlier - with full replays on XM (in some better slots on the weekends or somehting?)

I dunno man. I'm just throwing thoughts around. Seems there isn't enough time in the day to make everyone happy.

ron and fez are smart, i believe they also use the same agent as O&A. they'll figure something out.

Sure they might have to answer to PD's and the FCC, but they are incredibly talented and they deserve this.

I miss the big ass simulcasts with random tv shows. i live on the west coast now and I'd love to have them during the afternoon drive out here.

7-11 on Free FM and 11-12 exclusive on XM for a Power Hour, would be amazing in my mind.

The only thing FCC unfriendly on the show is the language. They never have anything on that is "bad" in any other way. Is it possible that they could air an edited and shortened version of the show from earlier in the day on Free FM?

This would be the best solution, but who knows. Just dont leave us.

Once again, I MUST bring up Opie's reluctancy to give up west coast afternoon drive. It would be huge for Ron and Fez, but I don't see him giving that away.

Once R&F have their own station along with other "friends of the show" and the boyz are all 202, you can choose what you want to hear when you want to hear it.

the more i think about it, the more i warm up to the rumor. however, i think the XM show is much better than the FM version at JFK and NEW because no one tries to conform them into a "regular radio show" - the timeslot would kick ass though.

This sounds crazy, but I think that if CBS takes the show at night, AND if Ron and Fez stay on middays, they can edit out the curses in time.

PLUS, even if they move to nights and do a live show on both platforms, they really don't swear alot, so if they were on a 10 minute delay that should be sufficient.

It puzzles me how a group of people could so extoll the virtues of satellite radio for nearly 2 years and be so eager to see them stripped away for terrestrial radio.

One of the coolest things Ive ever heard a professional entertainer say was Rons "We have no ambition" comment from the first days on XM. The crew at Ron & Fez have mastered putting on a brilliant uncensored show with ridiculously little commercial time. Judging only on yesterday and todays shows, this week is shaping up to be one of their best. Theyve hit their groove in the past two or three months and to see them forfeit the best parts of XM - especially in light of the O&A deal - it would be terribly disappointing and (as I said in another thread) I probably would, grudgingly, cancel XM. Today we heard Norton dumped out on for talking about somebody sitting on his face. They cant even promote websites that have "inappropriate" material. You cant tell me FreeFM doesnt mean the show must be watered down. Ron & Fez is the last show worth listening to using XM to its full advantage.

If this deal means two seperate, full shows then cool. Otherwise, keep it on XM.

If they can get on NY radio again at night, I'd want them back there. This XM deal could have been the best thing to ever happen to Ron and Fez but all it's done so far is leave them in what O&A themselves describe as "The worst timeslot in radio."

I'm not optimistic at all though. XM won't just let them fucking go like that, they know there's a loyal fanbase of fans that will leave, like me.

I dont wanna sound like a dick, so forgive me if it comes off like that, but why dont you just buy a myfi? The price has dropped pretty good and they're becoming more and more affordable since the Inno and Helix came out. At least then, you could either listen at work, or if your job isnt like that, record the buddays.
