Technical question
I've got PT installed at work. Does anyone know how to stop the blinking in my start bar (?). As people post text, it flashes orange. I'd like that to stop, as it draws attention to my slacking in the office. I've I've tried locking the text and turning off the auto scroll, but neither does anything.
Is it possible to stop it?

If you have it so the stuff doesnt group and keep the task bar small enough you can make it so you need to scroll through stuff and just have it not show

right click your taskbar, click properties, then customize, then from the drop down next to the icon, select always hide.

Good suggestions, but if I've got a coworker or boss standing behind me, and I have to flip between programs, neither one does that good a job of hiding it.

Its the same thing as any other program. There is the icon in the corner like where the volume etc is, and that can be hidden. But like an AIM conversation it flashes in the main task bar when you get an IM, and you cant really disable it.

Piss on you for wanting me to work. I've got the Live Room open so I can see any in-studio shenanigans.
And yes, that's exactly it. It's like an AIM window flashing when someone sends an IM.

auto hide your taskbar? I dont see mine unless I move the mouse to the bottom of the screen.
When it pops up, just click on the page your viewing and it should go back down..
