I downloaded a couple programs from download.com that work well. youtube grabber to download the flv files, and then I use the Riva flv player.
the video size is relatively small but the sound is great. if anyone knows of a better player for flv files or how to convert them to mpeg Id appreciate it.

Podtube is a free app for us mac users. It will take the video in the frontmost window in safari and puts it in your itunes playlist.
