WBL, Please Stop Responding to the Complaint Threads - The Unofficial Opie and Anthony Message Board

I am starting to worry that since the fans who LIKE the show don't start threads saying so, and those who want to bitch, do start threads, that WBL and Opie will think that the bitchers represent the majority of listeners.

I say this because, in general, WBL only chimes in on the threads that bitch and moan. I worry that he will start thinking "What's the point if everyone hates the show."

So my advice is, WBL, please stop fueling the bitching by responding. When you do, others who crying and think "I know how to do radio (but they don't)" douche bags then start a thread because they know you will read it...

Am I making sense?

Look, I love the show. It has its gold days, it has its off days... who doesn't. In the end, it is a damn good show and 1000% better than anything else out there. It is a good show because O&A and Jimmy do what they do... Not because message board people run the show.

I think WBL reads them hoping to find some sort of constructive ideas but unfortunately they are usually filled with repetitive shit-spewing that sets him off and rightly so. They make changes when it seems like it's needed. Case in point: Jimmy's role has changed and I think it's for the better. Bitch about FM but it has improved since they first started. I realize we are supposed to eat our own but I spend less and less time in General Discussion because of all the negativity. Off topic is more entertaining at this time. I just read the satellite star thread of the banned and hopefully the atmosphere will improve. And before people say that members were banned for speaking their minds I'll say that I've read the same unconstructive comments from the same people in similar threads. And alot of them come out of the woodwork for just these threads alone. Look at their post history. I do.

I actually see him respond to people and quietly say to myself, "Oh man, Ant, you don't owe anybody on here ANYTHING, least of all an explanation."

But that's what seperates him and this show from the norm.

It has always gone above and beyond - in its entertainment factor and how it deals with its fans.

While I agree with the thought behind what you were saying TheSqueakyWheel, WBL wouldn't have to bitch-slap the trolls so much if we (as a board / community) used this button:

Fighting on the internet is for fhaggots, but letting the staff know there are people "shitting on the floor of your house" helps clean the shit out much quicker.
