Default Wackbag locks my browser

Not always, but sometimes, and when it happens its usually some stupid userbar or photobucket sig trying to load.... but it makes my IE6 unresponsive for 5-10 seconds when it happens, I cant click on shit.

This is on a fancy new computer, and it happened on my Dell, but i thought it was showing its age.

anybody else have this problem?

Yeah, I have no problems with Firefox. IE6 was ok but when I "upgraded"
to IE7 I got alot more lockup problems. I have none with Firefox.

nothing has changed on the server... but IE is inherently an insecure/inferior browser ... why do you think there are like 237862873 IE updates when you run windows updates?

I'm having lag issues and pages that won't come up. It happens in Firefox also but seems more prevalent in IE.

Interesting point, Ive always used IE6, never had a problem until recently. Maybe a recent Windows Update did it...

I installed IE7 and I havent had the problem since.

IE7 sucks! Why can't you move the address bar? I have found a regedit that lets you move it down, but you cant move anything else below it.

why would you move the address bar? And move what below it? If you have other shit installed, i would uninstall it. It's just fluf that gets in the way.

Because its on top of everything else. I like having the menu bar shown, then the address bar, then my quick links, then google toolbar.

With the registry hack, i can make the address bar go under the menus, but then you cant put the quick links or google toolbar below it.

I understand that IE7 is really a component of Vista that has been backwards developed for XP, and from what I read on Vista it makes sense, especially with Aero, but IE7 on XP is shit.

I downloaded Firefox, found a theme that makes it look like IE7 (without the retarded toolbar order), ditched tabbed browsing, and changed the icon to the 'E'

Sweet.

I use IE7 with no add-ons. Don't need anything else, it does it all.
