Fedor is getting over 2 mil and Sylvia is getting 800K + 200K if he wins. This company will not make it to 5 shows paying that much. There is no way this is economically feasible. I don't see it drawing 200K ppv buys even with those fighters.

The WFA followed the same model and they only put on one show. Unless Affliction has a whole lot of money I don't see them lasting very long. It makes no sense to pay Fedor two million per fight when he is not much of a draw in the U.S. Liddell doesn't even make that much. It's a great card but a lot of the fighters are unknown to casual fans, who buy a majority of PPV's

Arlovski has officially left UFC, for Affliction. He'll be fighting Rothwell
and Trump is going to invest with Affliction, and says Tito Ortiz will probably be coming along as well

Big mistake by letting the Heavyweight division develop elsewhere. Losing Fedor then Couture, thats not even the biggest mistake. Fucking around with AA in his last couple fights, holding a personal grudge with Barnett, even letting Sylvia go was also among the biggest. you just cant let talent like that organize elsewhere.

It looks like the UFC might have an event on Spike the same night as Affliction with Silva in the main event.

I'm beginning to really think Affliction will be one and done. They will not draw the casual fan to pay when UFC is free. At this point I would be surprised if they drew 75k buys. I have seen no promotion for Banned. Have any of you? It is too bad, the UFC needs real competition.
What is the UFC card going to be, a fight night or 86.5? I would like to see Silva / Vera. After the way Brandon looked at 85, making weight should be very easy. That guy was not toned at all.

I want to see both so I will Stream the Affliction show and DVR the UFC. Affliction is going to suffer some major payroll problems if they keep putting on cards with 5-7 million going to the fighters.
