For those who Booed Mike Birbiglia........
A Big FUCK YOU! Your a fucking douche and you should go suck your fathers dick after he fucked your fat trailer trash mother that got aids from fucking the family dog. Then go flush both your satellite radios down the toilet and then fuck your mother!
I got a lot more to say but I am still disgusted and embarrassed to be any part of that booing shit that Mike Birbiglia did NOT deserve.
And please do not merge this with the video thread, keep this one for the ones that do not want to justify the booing, which alot of people seem to be doing on the other thread, there was absolutly no justification to boo the guy espesially after Opie pleaded with the non fans NOT to do it.

I couldn't even make the show and am beyond pissed off to hear that these fucking hack douchebags did the whole booing thing again.

I wasn't there, but I'm going to echo Sonny's sentiments with my comments from the "surprise comedian speculation" thread:
So the Virus tour went from about 3 dates in '06 to 8 dates to '07 to ONE FUCKING RELUCTANT DATE this year. Add in fuckface fans that booed comedians as an add-on benefit to an animation festival, and you'll be waiting a long time before the boys pull together another fun event featuring comedians in the future.
Great job "anti-pests." You're really making us look like quite the dedicated fanbase that does the right things for the good of the show.
One additional comment: To the eventual douches who claim they had "every right to boo because they purchased a ticket", go fuck yourself. You're not acting as pests crashing a rival radio show promotion, or a celebrity appearance after the celebrity screwed over O,A, or Jimmy. You're going to a show to become part of a community and support O&A and the various stand-up guests they regularly invite to the studio. You think a comedian sucked? Pull out your phone and start texting somebody. Or grab a snack. Or take a piss. It's much more telling that you don't like a comedian to sit in complete silence or to get up and leave your seat. But no. It's way more important that you try to get attention for yourself.
I used to think the Bill Burr moment in Philly was one of the greatest moments in modern stand-up comedy. In retrospect, it might have been one of the worst as it has given fuckfaces motivation to try to get their 15 minutes by recreating the incident. Just fucking embarrassing.

Wow! I gotta agree with Sonny that it really sucks considering Opie made an on-air request to not do that shit. Some of us would love to get a chance to see one of the Traveling Virus events without having to take a whole week of vacation to do so. Fucktardz. I love the O&A crowd, but you gotta admit we're a jaded bunch of assholes. I'm bettin' there won't be anymore T. V. shows taking-place this time next year.

*sigh*
I guess I can kiss my chances of ever seeing the Virus Shows goodbye, because this very well may have been the last one. This once again proves that no other "outside comedian" will ever do the tour or any other event. Fuck, even Bill Burr didn't do the tour. Gee, I wonder why that is? Was it the Philly Incident? Or could it have been the next stop in Cleveland where fans tried to mimic the moment. I believe that is what put Bill over the edge in my opinion. Now we have Mike Birbiglia, a NEW friend of the show, perform in front of us, the O&A fans. Wow, he got a "great" ovation, didn't he fellas? Ugh! Don't give me the "well, he shouldn't have opened with that joke. I've heard it before." REALLY, COCKSUCKER!?! WELL GUESS WHAT? THERE ARE ACTUALLY OTHER PEOPLE AT THE EVENT TOO! AND I'M SURE THEY HAVEN'T HEARD THE JOKE BEFORE! I can't comprehend how much I would have loved to find that guy who decapitated that dude on the bus, give him a combat knife, and just release him on those fucking mutants. I heard that they also were about to give Giraldo a bad time too.
I guess it doesn't really matter who it was or where it was, that fact is that it was done after being asked not to do it again AND after given suggestions like take a piss or snack or shut the fuck up.

I hate to be a snob BUT I tend to think most of the booing comes from the terrestrial listeners and not the dedicated Sattelite & messageboard people ..the messageboard haters just think they're better than everybody else (they're NOT ..i've met a few of them! ) and usually stay home!

Could be, Pat. But then again, we did have the "Fuck Free FM" chants and whatnot at prior events. It just seems there's a cluster of assholes in every group who thinks it's all about them and tries to force that belief on everyone else through the stupidity of their actions.

I'm not a fan of Birbiglia as a stand-up and I only find him to be okay on the show. That said, it really is disgusting to treat a guy like that when the people that put it all together (who you are supposedly fans of) specifically asked you not to do it. It's not just a show of disrespect to the comic. You're spitting in Opie's face when you do something like this. The man puts together a great live show for you every day, somehow pulls 5 hours of material out of his ass daily to keep you satisfied, and this is how you repay him? You're given the opportunity to show your appreciation and you slit his throat?
I'm not trying to be comical, I legitimately hope your fucking hearts stop.

Unfortunately I think this is more the self-proclaimed hardcore, super-pest type of fans who think of themselves as being hilarious and part of the show who boo comics who don't tell jokes abut ****** their disabled mothers. The so-called "haters" would probably be more respectful as they only seem to really like the show when it's filled with other comics anyway.
I think it's disgusting that Mike was booed. He's hilarious. But O&A kind of groomed these assholes by giving them such a forum and making them feel important. Dumb cunts like this need to disappear. They're the shittiest thing about the show and they're not even supposed to be part of it.

They gave him no shot...
The crowd acted cunty once he got on...
But I do wonder;
1. Why did they run him out there that late?
2. Why the fuck did he wear that sweater? It was friggin' hot and the dude in the crowd that he went after asked a perfectly simple question, and he BOMBED!
Seriously, when he dropped the mic after he asked if "You want Jimmy...", that was some cringe inducing shit. Its like he ran home for shelter...
I figured DeStefano and Birbiglia would go first. MIKE KILLED.

Yep... but then they come to the message boards and they don't even try to justify their douchery. They get all caught up in the booing like the mindless bleating sheep that they are, but when they wake up the next morning, and the mob mentality has worn off, they realize what asses they are, and then they finally shut their stupid mouths like they should've done at the show.

I witnessed this first-hand at a Norton show at the Orpheum Theater in Boston a few years back. Keith Robinson opened and I couldn't tell you if he was any good because nobody would shut the fuck up during his performance. Some people who weren't interested got up and walked away, while others chatted like it was a fucking Mah Jong game at a rest home.
Then Norton took the stage and of course killed, but my lasting memory was these frat-guy like shitheads that sat behind me and started making comments about Jimmy's jokes as if he's a member of the show:
"Didja, stupid?"
"Is that how it goes you horse's ass?"
"Ramone! RAMMOOOOOOOOOONNNNNNNNNEEEEEE!" (mind you, this was during the performance, not during the intros)
Dave Attell closed the show (he wasn't supposed to, but he got caught in traffic). I don't care what any Boston fans that were in attendance that day said - Attell was hysterical. The douches and wannabe cool guys kept giving him shit and asking for Jimmy, but Attell gave it right back, accussing one chick of loving to suck cock, and then getting the crowd back by asking "do you want Jimmy back? (YEAH!) Well, too bad. He's off blowing a tranny hooker."
Just doesn't make sense why anyone would pay good money to act like a fucking asshole for stand-ups they allegedly enjoy. Attell closed the show that night, Jimmy already took the stage and killed, and instead of leaving early to avoid traffic, it was more important to compensate for small genitals by heckling and trying to become the focus of the show.
It shouldn't surprise anyone that Attell hasn't done an O&A type event since.

I thought Mike D was horrible but I didnt boo. I went and used the VIP bathroom with the rest of the elite.
His stuff was so unbelievably hack. "Eye-talians should have shot 50 cent. it would have only taken two bullets and he would be 48 cent"
Ah-hur Ah-hur Ah-hur
but whatever. The crowd let that slide. Birbig has been doing this so much longer and his material is a lot more solid if you let him get it out.
I hope we all get punished for the actions of a few. The fact that no one rose up and beat these people to death with their shoes is a testament to the fact that none of us deserve a show.

Mohegan Sun was a great crowd too. Nobody booed (even though Frank Caliendo did his predictable set that got him booed in earlier Tri-State area shows) and the crowd overwhelmingly supported the other O&A comics on the show throughout.

We need to start taking pics and videos of these "contributers" so we can critique their performances.
Make ourselves a little "Hall of Douche Fame" here on the bag.

It's mind boggling how they never want to stray from the tri state, then bitch when shit like this happens. I want to feel sorry but they bring it on themselves.

I was unable to attend the show last night but glanced at the clock often wishing I was there and envious of those that were. I am ashamed that these fuckwads would boo anyone there, good or bad. They're damn lucky they even got to go! If O&A/Yimmy don't tear the crowd a new asshole tomorrow morning, I'd be seriously surprised. Now I will never get a chance to see a V-tour in DC (my closest venue) because of these shitdicks. Thanks a lot ...

They stay in the tri-state area because they can get 8,000 people at a comedy event with no major promotion. They went to Detroit and did not get that kind of turnout. I think it is just a business decision.

Embarrassing, once again. You heard it build from the back pretty much after Mike said a few words. I just don't get it.
Stop trying to become part of the show!
