Kimbo Slice vs Ken Shamrock

With less than six weeks to go before EliteXC’s next CBS-EliteXC Saturday Night Fights event, speculation has been ongoing as to who Kevin “Kimbo Slice” Ferguson will face on Oct. 4. That speculation can now be put to rest as MMAWeekly.com has confirmed with EliteXC vice president Jared Shaw that Kimbo will face UFC Hall of Famer Ken Shamrock.
Much attention was drawn recently to EliteXC’s cancelling of its Sept. 20 event in New Mexico, the company stating that it was necessary to do so to focus its promotional efforts on the pivotal Oct. 4 event on CBS.
Shaw supported that statement in confirming Ken Shamrock, saying, “We were clearing the runway for Oct. 4 and we’re landing with some heavy artillery. Kimbo emerged as king of backyard brawls and is a YouTube sensation, now he wants to lay claim to the title of ‘The World’s Most Dangerous Man.’”
Though Shamrock is well past the peak of his career – he’s currently on a five-fight losing streak – the facts are that he has a record of 26-13-2, he has been in this sport since before Kimbo left his teenage years, and the strongest part of his game, submissions, is one of the weakest areas for his opponent.

I agree. But Ken isnt that smart, and we arent that lucky.

Ken now might have a problem with stadup, but Ken 10 years ago would Kill this mother fucker. Put Kimbo in with a "real" MMA guy from today and he would fall and fall hard. I'm not saying this guy is a pussy because he would Kill most, but put him in with a real MMA guy like chuck or rampage and he would get killed.

Which Shaw? Im still dont understand what Gary Shaw's role is now. He was demoted under the guise of Shaw deciding he didnt have time to put into it anymore (which was obviously bullshit) and they said hes now an advisor.
then I heard he stepped down entirely. but his son is still with elite xc

Cause it makes me so fucking mad that treat Kimbo like a legitimate fighter because he beat up dudes in his backyard, its all because he's big and black and looks scary. Why wasn't Thompson given the fight? He pretty much call him out last time he fought. In fact why didn't Kimbo ask for the fight? Is he scared? What a shame, their biggest attraction is all hype and one of their champions refuses to fight the top contender.
I hope Shamrock submits him in the 1st minute.
