What was the most recent concert you've attended?

I saw RJD2 earlier tonight and it was a blast. His whole set was awesome, I danced my honkey ass off.

    This mother fucker was legit...

It's been a while since I've seen a live show.

I saw RJD2 sometime last year though, he's the tits.

I went to the "Mayhem Festival" in Mansfield Ma. Last weekend...Megadeth, Godsmack and Disturbed....It was hot as hell but good show...Disturbed was hurting vocally...david draiman sounded winded and unable to achieve a decent performance of his own music...IDK if he had some issues recently but it was quite crappy sounding...Godsmack was awesome. IDK if Godsmack and Disturbed have issues with each other but Sully started their set with "We are Godsmack, No giant video screens, no pyro, just us, and you and mother fucking rock and roll" and then they went right into kicking ass...and then Disturbed came out with VIdeo screens and pyro and sucked...hmmm...

I've seen Disturbed a few times and this was just awful...
    Megadeth was great as well...

So was "Mayhem Festival" just a catchy name or was it a fund-raiser for Dimebag's body guard?

We do a show every year in Dallas for his family, and his nickname was Mayhem, so it's always something along those lines.

I saw this tour at Darien Lake last week, and agree with your entire post. Sully said the same thing at our show, so I imagine there's a little friction there. Probably Sully is pissed that Disturbed is the headliner when clearly Godsmack is the better band, at least in terms of putting on a great live show.

Megadeth was ok. Always nice to see Dave Mustaine having a good time. The other band - In Flames - bit a giant dick. They didn't even know where they were. "Hey you AMERICA! Listen to our song" Fucking yuck.

Before that I made the long trek to Idaho to see my favorite band play their first US show in 20 years. Had a fucking amazing time. Considering they hadn't played a concert in 2 years, they sounded great. The singer did forget the words (around the 4:30 mark) but recovered nicely. There's also some weird distortion during the 2nd chorus on this video that wasn't audible at the show. Must have been where the dude was standing with the camera:

If you watch the vid, have a laugh when the cameraman pans the "audience." Small crowd, but it was a blast. Met folks from Jersey, Indiana, Saskatchewan, Salt Lake City, Wisconsin, Vegas and other places. Met the band after the show and they were genuinely surprised that they had a devoted "cult following" in the US.

Pretty sure it's my awful singing that stops the show at the beginning of this clip, and it's definitely my wife that screams WOOOOOO when the singer expresses some surprise that there's people there that know the words.

RJD2 is siiiick... Saw him last year with Kenan Bell.

Last good show I saw was Umphrey's Mcgee. Pretty fucking awesome, and I'm not really into Jam bands.

I went to Mayhem at Camden last night. Trivium and Megadeth were fucking great. I think the best part was that Mustaine just looked like he was having fun so that made the show great. Seeing him play the Holy Wars solo was pretty fucking badass too.

I've never heard of this guy, and all I could come up with in my head before I looked it up was Ronnie James Dio II.

x3 Godsmack kicked ass and took the same shots. It reminded me of a few years ago. saw Kiss & Aerosmith, Kiss had this huge metal step set, gene Simmons was flying around, pyro everywhere..etc. After the hour+ it took to take the set apart Aerosmith showed up on stage with a very stripped down set-up a few neon lights, nothing fancy...frst song they played was "let the Music do the Talking"

I was wondering what the issue was with In flames. They were supposed to headline the side stage in Camden but they weren't there. I've heard them before and they were decent.

Machinehead and Trivium were both very good too

I go to 25 concerts a year..easily. So the last one was 9/2/11 Buckcherry and Papa Roach Puddle of Mudd. And I'm going to be at Kid Rock this Saturday(and I am excited). Then Foo Fighters on 9/17/11.

I had a great time at the Kid Rock show last night. One of the best concerts of the year so far. This was the first time seeing him live even though he does plenty of shows here in Michigan. It won't be my last .
