Fuck. Yes. Bitches.
Wow, they're learning from Hollywood. They should've also spoiled the "how" part of Reapers getting to earth. Fuck, they should've gone ahead and shown how Shep defeats them.
Knowing Bioware, the game will start out with Earth under attack. Kinda like people being pissed when word spread that Shep dies in ME2.... and it happens in the first 10 minutes of the game. In the end, it spoiled NOTHING. I am betting it is the same case here.
fuck yeah!!!!! I cant wait until its released around this time next year! Fuck Halo, this is the fight I want to finish! Hands down the best story in vidya game history.
Heres the trailer for all you paranoid meatspin fags who dont trust links...
Who else is planning on playing through 1 & 2 right before 3 is released?
If you finished 2 then you know the only thing getting spoiled is Earths ass.
Cant. Fucking. Wait.
Hey finally got an Xbox yesterday w/ ME 1&2. It will be my first time playing through the games. I know that some ME1 stuff will transfer over to ME2. Any tips for someone playing through as a "good guy" with consideration for both games?
Actually, it was kind of a given that the Reapers were going to attack Earth after ME2... No spoilage there.
Play through 1 a few times before playing 2, and play different character types. Plus, replaying as the same character comes in handy, as some skill/speech checks are DAMN hard to pull off on the first time through. Restarting as an advanced level character, though, is a different story. Some of those speech and skill checks, along with other decisions, WILL carry over to 2. In fact, most major decisions (including who you allow to live and die) will carry over from 1 to 2.
Haven't gone near them. Recently got ME2 as a gift from a Friend that works at Bioware. These worth playing? No idea at all about the series (what the play like, length of the game, etc).
Cumulatively they are the best games of this generation. Stop reading ANYTHING having to do with them and start with ME1. Don't play ME2 first because one ends in a bit of a cliffhanger. This is the best sci fi story since Farscape. If you play ME2 first and claim the story sucks you only have yourself to blame.
They're both shooters, but the first one is a hardcore RPG, while the second is an RPG light. You could play the first one as a straight commando and ignore some of the RPG depth, but you'd be missing out on the strategic elements of using physics and logic to defeat enemies. And if you do that you probably won't be able to play it on anything above "normal" difficulty.
How? In the first game it was established that the keepers were disabled by the protheans and Shep destroyed Sovereign the herald. The citadel relay could not be opened. In the second game the collectors were trying to build a new herald, and Shep ruined their plans. With no herald, the citadel STILL cannot be opened. Without the citadel the Reapers are stuck well outside the milky way. Let's disregard distance, speed, and time, and just assume that if the Reapers could FTL their way to the milky way without a mass relay, the first two games were pointless
So I have been playing ME1 for that past few days (love it) but for some reason after loading to or from cutscenes it sometimes takes a second or two for the textures to fully load on the characters and background. I bought the $99 refurbished Xbox from Gamestop so I am wondering if I bought a faulty system or if this is a software bug? I would try another game but I only have this and ME2 and I don't want to spoil anything?
Anyone else experience this?
Nope, thats normal for Unreal engine. Gears of War, and a few others are known for it, too.
Will have to pick up ME1 then. Been hearing nothing but good things.
Can't wait! Before the game comes out, I'll have to start a new ME1 character, level it to 60, complete all the good quests and get the good ending, import that character to ME2, and do the same.
It takes about a day to travel 12 light years, and drive cores need to be discharged at a planet fairly often. So while we can assume that the villains want to spoil Earth's ass, there doesn't appear to be any way for them to get there.
Mass Effect is notoriously the WORST with delayed texture draws. It never causes any real problems though.
OK new ME1 question. Why during combat w/ the assault rifle I zoom in and the reticule automatically go to a small and accurate circle but a lot of the time it goes to a large inaccurate circle and slowing shrinks?
Assault R. talent maxed
Using Avenger II
Edit: Just found the Banshee V, using that.
Because you still lose accuracy when you are zoomed in and move. Once you stop moving the accuracy reticule goes back to normal.
Then what was that mass of Reapers doing at the end of the game? Jerking off?
WTF! I gotta choice between the lives of my two favorite characters. Why can't it be stupid spacesuit bitch. Oh well I guess I'll save Ashley
You have to be a racist to fuck her too.
Good. She turned into a real bitch in 2...
Who? Ash or Liara?
Ok so I just carjacked the Normandy yesterday and decided to do all the side missions as I want to max out my level for when I play ME2. The problem is the side quest are kinda boring, very repetitive and don't really seem to give me that much exp. I have done a bunch of them and have only gone up 2 levels from 37 to 39 about to be 40.
My question is does it really help that much to be level 60 when you start your ME2 game? The story seems like it may be getting close to the ending and I don't think I will make it to 60. I really don't think I'll have the desire to do another play through just to max out my experience. I will really want to just move on to ME2.
Also any suggestion on good RPGs for the 360 when I'm done. I am already getting Fable 3 off a friend when I'm done.
Bump. And oh shit Ashley gave up the puss.
