Australia is playing New Zealand right now in the World Cup. Theres 10 teams and I even bet on a couple of longshots (Fiji, New Guinea). I'm glad I'm up at 3am so I can watch it live. It's on Setanta Sports if you have satellite.

There's so much fucking Rugby on! Rugby World Cup starts tonight. The Currie Cup Final was yesterday (with the Sharks beating the Blue Bulls). Heineken Cup is going on, IRB, etc...This is a great time of year with all the Rugby, NHL, NFL& UFC.

    Contact sports RULE!

Anyone else love these toothless, cauliflour eared, broken nosed bastards?

Played for ten years, starting in college and then in the Navy. Rugby is one of the greatest sports I've ever played. Nothing better than laying in solid hit and feeling air come out of your opponent. The game kept me sane for years. And then there is the whole social aspect, some of the best parties I've ever been to.

What channels are carrying the games?

Only Setanta Sports that I know of. 406 on Dishnet. They also have some games on ESPN Classic occasionally.

If they played this shit on American TV, we would eat it up. These motherfuckers are crazy playing with no helmets. Damn rugby women are tough too.

They can't squeeze a million commercials into it so there's no incentive for the big networks to cover these games. Plus the live games are at 3am East Coast so that doesn't help. Ever since I found channel 406 I have been totally addicted. I would probably pay to watch it at this point.

The USA team is playing in November:

Saturday Nov 8 Uruguay tour United States of America v Uruguay, Salt Lake City

Sun Nov 16 United States of America tour Japan v USA, Nagoya 06:00 GMT, 15:00 local

Sat Nov 22 United States of America tour Japan v USA, Tokyo 10:00 GMT, 19:00 local

Thanks for the heads up on the USA games.

When I was in Australia years back, I overdosed on TV Rugby and Australian rules football, another elegantly vicious game.

USA came within a whisker of a finals appearance in this weekend's tournament in San Diego. Fucking Argentena was just too strong. England should beat Argentena in the final anyway.

This 7 minute half style of Rugby games could definitely be commercialized. If they make it into 7 minute quarters, the big corporations can cram all their commercials in. They are talking about putting the 7 minute half rugby games in the olympics. This way a new set of teams plays every about 20 minutes, and things keep moving along nicely. Padres stadium was over half filled. Should have been packed!

Not ONE commercial on Setanta Sports channel today! SWEET! But that's the reason it's not on TV either. Maybe XM could start a Rugby channel. Oh wait, I don't have XM.
Shit man, Setanta Sports wants $15 a month for this. And it's not even included in the $75 "Everything" Package. No wonder there are alot of pirates. All of these fucking companies are ræping the consumer.

The women played today too but I guess Rugby chicks aren't sexy enough for TV. Maybe that's a good thing. English women won.

They were in it at the end. The USA was within 5. They had a chance but they never really took possession after the last kickoff. The ball went out, so they said.

Argentina are a bunch of fags. They won and the whole team did "Ring A Round The Rosie". Eww
I bet they won't even shower before they tongue each other buttholes at the afterparty.

This should be an interesting World Cup at least.

Right now on ABC they're airing part of the World 7's Tournament. It's obviously old/taped, but it's better than watching nothing.

USA vs. Argentina for the next 20 minutes or so. For some reason 7's is only 14 minutes. It's on until 6 EST
7's would definitely be able to be a huge Olympic game. Full-side 15's would fucking rule, but I don't think they'd give it the time/airtime necessary to succeed. Hell, 7's would do better here in the States than the soccer league.

USA rugby will have more success in the near future than USA soccer on the international stage

It's actually 7's (meaning only 7 players) but its as close to real rugby as youre gonna get from the USA right now.

We play a real 15 on 15 game on July 4 against some heavy hitters.

http://www.justin.tv/live24rugby/ is great for free tv.

I DVRed a episode of "Dahani Tackles the Globe" on the Travel Channel, the one where he is in England to learn about Rugby. Great show and it reminded me why Rugby is one of the greatest games ever!

If you're Irish it's a great day for you. The Heineken Cup playoffs are absolutely unbelieveable this year. Leinster defeated the Harlequins in one of the best matches I've seen this year. Munster defeated the Ospreys setting up a Heineken Cup playoffs chock full O Micks! Man I'm telling you, if you get excited watching baseball, you will shit yourself watching the Heineken Cup this year. It was on Setanta but if you dont have it, I caught a stream at www.justin.tv/kostaz007 so just check the archives there. Don a diaper first.

These are the teams the USA will NEVER be able to compete with without network support. I hope when the USA plays Ireland we see some of these Heineken Cup players like Brian O'Driscoll & Malcolm O'Kelly.

I gotta go clean my anus now. Whew! What a morning!!!

    Rugby fucking RULES!!!!!!
