If this story is true, and Lagana is in fact the new head of creative. This could be one of the best moves for TNA in a long time. Let Lagana do what he does best and they could very easily turn there sinking ship around.

Step 2 - Ditch Hogan or restrict his say in things.

I think after Flair leaves the company in the next coming year, I think HOgan and Bischoff will follow him out.

Good riddance. There's a reason that Vince Russo is one of the most hated men in the industry.

I watched the rise and fall of WCW the other week with my buddy. After seeing how he was during those times, why the fuck did TNA even hire him in the first place? He was obviously poison. Is their need for scraps really THAT bad?

Last night's TNA PPV was Russo, Bisch and the Hulkster being VINTAGE! Russo, Bisch and Hulkster.

Garrett Bischoff can't wrestle for shit and the main event was a 10 "finisher" 3 ref bump bullshit finish overbooked disaster. Last night's main event was pure Vinny Ru.

Does this mean that Kurt Angle, Mr. Anderson, and Samoa Joe will now be either a face or a heel for more than two months?

Vince Russo is the main reason why 2-hour-long televised wrestling shows only have 45 minutes of actual wrestling on them.

He was quoted saying his dream/goal was to do a wrestling show without a ring.

What happened? Because I remember watching a few episodes of TNA circa 05,06 during Jeff Hardy's first stint. And the X-division was really the centerpiece of the tv-show and it was fast and brutal. Fast forward two years and they have fat guys in the x-division and the whole TNA is trying to be like the WWE. Why?

No one trashes Vince Russo quite like Vince Russo. Jim Cornette is a close second.

Smackdown, RAW and Impact is how bell-to-bell action averages from most to least. Smackdown is the only one that consistently gets over half an hour of wrestling time.
RAW and Impact are often in the 20s.

Impact far too often can be sub 15 minutes monthly average. 8+ hours of programming, 50 minutes of wrestling.

I have always loved the story of Lance Storm bitching at Russo for throwing up signs to "go home," that is finish a match, when he just got in the ring. Then Storm goes to confront him and he's like...
"You're not even giving me 2 goddamned minutes! You're cutting my balls off, man. How am I supposed to tell a story in the ring if I don't have any match time?"
And Russo just stares at him.
    And Storm is like...
"You write and book for WCW. You are aware that you can tell a story in the ring through a match, right?"
    Russo just stares some more.

This is pretty good, criticism of the MOST SHOCKING SWERVE EVER and Vinny Ru's insatiable need to "shock" the fans with plot twists and "swerves."

I've never heard that before. He really told Lance to go home at the beginning of the match? (I don't know why I'm surprised by that.) That's embarrassing, even by Russo's standards.

Fuck, I can't find it on Youtube anymore, used to be one of my favorite clips.

"Why am I getting 2 minute matches?"

He also trashed him for all the gimmick idiocy. Viagra on a Pole match, Judy Bagwell on a Forklift, etc. Hasn't it been nice to not see fucktardery like the Knockouts Lockbox Challenge?

    Just to clear it up
Lagana is not in charge of creative - Pritchard & Bischoff are but Lagana is the top writer in that he scripts out TV
Russo hasn't been main guy for awhile & quit out of frustration
Dixie loved him for some reason & wouldn't ever fire him - Hogan & Bischoff asked when they first came in

I don't know why he's frustrated. With all the face/heel turns, the lack of clean finishes, and the general lack of wrestling on Impact, you'd think he'd be happy with TNA product. Maybe there's still too much wrestling for his tastes. Or maybe Knockout segments just offended his delicate born-again Christian (Bullshit!) sensibilities.

Yep considering he was the main guy that wrote the 'whore/bitch" lines for the <cough> knockouts
