Buy a macbook and dual install Windows on it. I've done so on both of my macs and it rules to have the option!

Are you actually trying to use Metro? I installed Classic shell and changed all my file associations to use desktop programs.

Laptops shutting down is indicative of a motherboard issue. Mine was doing the same thing and they had to swap the motherboard. It could be a virus, so check that first, otherwise I would investigate a new piece of hardware.

Try this: http://www.stardock.com/products/start8/ Its just like windows shell except after a 30 day trial it will cost $4.25. It has settings that will turn off all hot corners or just individual ones. Including the charms bar. I've been using it for a little over a month now and absolutely love it.

No, just noticed you were using Windows 8.
This would be the last thing to try before giving up and taking it back under warranty. Under windows 8 you can refresh the system files without messing up your installed programs. Refresh windows, and if that doesn't work then do a complete restore. Still doesn't work, then use that warranty to replace it. Repair is rarely an option on a laptop except for replacing the battery, HD, or memory.

There's nothing to repair besides replacing the shitty OS. The laptop is brand new. When you look up SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION (which is the error message I get) you'll find that it happens to laptops across all brands.

I just went in an uninstalled Windows update KB2778344 which is apparently the culprit causing all the crashes. Which sucks because I have to now shut off automatic update in order to make sure that it doesn't download again until Microsoft puts out a fucking patch.
