Cold Reception

Tuesday we told you about several areas around the planet experiencing record cold and snowpack — in the face of all the predictions of global warming.

Now there is word that all four major global temperature tracking outlets have released data showing that temperatures have dropped significantly over the last year. California meteorologist Anthony Watts says the amount of cooling ranges from 65-hundredths of a degree Centigrade to 75-hundreds of a degree.

That is said to be a value large enough to erase nearly all the global warming recorded over the past 100 years. It is reportedly the single fastest temperature change ever recorded — up or down.

Some scientists contend the cooling is the result of reduced solar activity — which they say is a larger driver of climate change than man-made greenhouse gases.

Its not "global warming" anymore its "climate change". So now it covers warming and cooling. Don't think your clever by saying the Earth is always either warming or cooling. It also means the warming or cooling is either happening faster or slower than its supposed to. There is no escape.

You're talking crazy. Do you mean that those ice caps that Al said were almost gone have gained their size back like 30% over the last year? No way, it's impossible because Al Gore got a Nobel prize for his little documentary.

The fact of the matter is that the Earth changes and the weather patterns don't stay the same. You can go back to look in the '30s when the country set records of blazing heat and other decades as well. Remember the Dust Bowl? That shit was part of a weather pattern, not global warming.

People like Al Gore just like to scare people and he sure as fuck made millions off of it as well.

That's the real fucking worry- we might be entering a Maunder Minimum again.

If we enter a Maunder Minimum, look for things to get a LOT colder, but there are likely other effects as well. I've read in some places that radio signals are going to be harder to transmit long distances, which effects cell phones and other forms of communication, including wireless internet, etc.

I can put on another coat. I'll be pissed if I can't stream porno on my cellphone!

And how many billions are going to be spent trying to stop "global warming" before we get the "oops, we were wrong" message.

I read this somewhere and I'm too lazy to go back to find it, but it was an article mentioning that Al Gore Sr. was behind the Global Cooling scare of the 70's and made a shit load off of it. Much like Al is doing now.
