We had a breakdown in the Hierarchy last year. Who is present and who wants to argue their points...
Not even sure I have the time this year. Got alot of summer plans
and a couple of weddings to attend. If you get anything going I'll see.
I would consider making a trip.
Where would this thing happen? I am finally in a position to possibly attend such an event.
Sounds good...Where ? keep us posted Thanks...
Where? good question...Anyone live near the park on LI we have it at that can book? What the hells it called?
not sure, but i heard Anthony was there last year and Invited almost everyone to the compound for a little afterparty...all but Bobo and crazed...poor guys...
It's Eisenhower Park Glenn and yes Ant was there last year
and he did invite people back to his house. There are pics
posted in this thread:
Being in Israel is " finally in a position to possibly attend such an event."????
Just visiting home. I'll be back in New York on Monday.
I'll be in Spain.
I'm not sure how much work I can put into this, this year... Glad to help but really need someone else to step up and run with it.
They say Spain is pretty, though I've never been......
I am a good 150 miles from Long Island...but I will help if needed...
I live nearby, but honestly I've got a lot going on lately as well, and not sure I want to or will have the time organize it to be completely honest. I think park permits have to be picked up soon, not sure what the deadlines are, etc.
I'm down by the Philly airport and have made every game.
The thing is that you need to live in that county to get a permit so there's
not much we can do from here til that happens.
Only other choice would be to move it to another park.
Anyone have suggestions on one in the N.Jersey/ NYC area?
Yeah, I know the county has dates that the permits are made available but you gotta jump on them as the reservations for the fields fill up fast. I have no idea how it works. I know Ma kind of knew the town workings and that's why she was able to get them on time.
I'm in, but it may be a little late to get permits.
I checked with Rockland County Parks and the NYC Parks dept. and they do not allow alcohol at any of their parks.
Seems like Long Island is the best spot. Can someone from Nassau check availabilty for July 16th? (or other Saturdays)
If it falls through, we could always setup an FH Riley's gathering.
There's info on obtaining park permits here: http://www.nassaucountyny.gov/agencies/Parks/wheretogo/active/eisenhower.html Unfortunately, it doesn't list what dates are reserved already if any for the fields....A Riley's gathering I'm always up for!
I called Eisenhower Park (516-572-0349) and they confirmed that only a Nassau county resident can request/book the picnic area($100), softball field($?) and alcohol permit($50). There is also a $10 parking fee for non residents at the gate.
We need a Nassau resident to send an email to email@example.com and ask if the following is available
The Pin Oak - Parking Field 4- Eisenhower Park on Saturday July 16, 2011 for up to 50 people and that we need a permit for the softball field next to it, along with an alcohol permit.
Good luck to all. If you're going to Riley's afterwards, I may meet y'all out there, but I'm not taking a day off from work. Life, priorities & loyalties have changed greatly since last year's game.
I'm out for most weekends in July.
I got several weddings to go to that month
and the Summer Ale Festival at the zoo.
I would pick up the ball, but I live in Suffolk County. No bueno.
I'll be back in the vicinity and would love to see y'all at Riley's if that becomes the aftergame place....I never make the actual games anyway!
We could always just forget the game & plan for something at Riley's that night instead. Then you don't have to worry about someone shelling out money for permits or the weather etc.
