I know it's a little early but it's my year to host the party looking for some different ideas for food, dips, etc.

We usually do meatballs and buffalo chicken dip along with whatever else anyone brings.

This year since i had my tonsils out right before New Years, I was not able to make my traditional New Years Day crock pot pulled pork so I'm definitely doing that instead of meatballs. But looking for ideas other than the same old same old.

One of my buddies makes buffalo chicken meatballs. Fucking amazing. Legendary among my group of friends.

    Dump into crock pot:

1/2 gallon salsa (Pace Thick and Chunky)
1 brick Velveeta cheese (32 ounce)
1 pint sized jar pickled jalapenos (drained)
1 can sliced black olives (drained)

Cook on high until everything is melted together - 30-45 minutes

Serve with Tostitos Hint of Lime Chips

Simple and basic - yep. Yummy - yep.

Hormel chili dip. Might be popular by I never heard of it before she made it.

Can of Hormel chili with no beans
    Cream cheese
    Shredded 4 cheese bag

Layer of no bean chili on bottom of pan. Layer of cream cheese over that. Late of shredded cheese on top.

    My wife loves it.

    Just Google Hormel chili dip.

I will be doing three different kinds of wings this year, hot wings, stupidly hot wings, and garlic parm. Will be frying them in my deep-fryer. Will also be roasting my own vegetables for salsa again. Beyond that, I'll have to see who the teams are. If my Patriots are in it, I'll go way New England with some Clam Chowder, maybe a little Lobster, some shrimp, some scallops... maybe Bacon Wrapped scallops.

If it's the Baltimore RayLewises, I'll probably just stick to Vodka and marijuana.

I am going to break out the turkey fryer. I am thinking of doing wings, pierogies, fries, and a bunch of other stuff. Might do fried chicken, maybe some shrimp. I'll have to get some input from the wife.

We're trying something a little different this year by doing a couple different soups and dips. I may fry some wings, not sure yet.

    Soup List looks like:
    Chili
    French Onion Soup
    Taco Stew
    Bean Soup(maybe)

The Onion Soup is already made and frozen and pretty good. We are going to cheat a little with the onion soup by putting some cheese on the bread and toast it. Then put it in the bottom of the bowl (with more cheese) with the soup on top of the bread and cheese instead doing it in the oven/broiler.

    Dips will probably include
    Hoagie Dip
    Taco Dip
    Crab Dip

    and of course Beer....

Why go a multi-soup route? That doesn't seem very superbowly.

Just to change it up, no reason in particular. Everyone eats all the finger foods anyway and i'm left with a ton of leftovers.

Just remembered that our Wing guy at work is retiring at the end of January
I may have to pick up the slack there
It'll cost me a little more , but save me some work
Unless someone else can bring in better wings than I can get

Perhaps he has very large bowls . . . SUPER bowls, if you will. Or perhaps he's not that into sports and thinks it's a souperbowl party.
