Still a few months off but I've been seeing more talk of it online lately so fuck it, thread made.

I know the U.S. didn't qualify and that is going to be a bummer for Fox's ratings. I'm still going to watch. Not sure who I will pull for this go-around but it will more than likely be Switzerland or Germany. Even though I haven't really been able to keep up with what is going on in the club leagues for the past couple of years, I am still betting on Germany to repeat.

Looks like they might be using video replay this time also.

No U.S. so I'm rooting for Poland and England.

2018 World Cup ball criticised by Spain and Germany goalkeepers
6:41 PM ET

  • ESPN staff
AS. "And it's covered in a plastic film that makes it difficult to hold on to. Goalkeepers are going to have a lot of problems with this ball."

De Gea agreed, calling the ball "really strange" adding: "It could have been made a lot better."

Reina and Ter Stegen both said FIFA should look to swap out the ball before the World Cup begins in June, though the German keeper accepted that it was unlikely anything would be done.

"The ball could be better; it moves a lot," Ter Stegen said. "But I think we're just going to have to get used to working with it, and try to get to grips with it as quickly as possible before the World Cup starts. We've got no other option."

Anyone gonna be watching live today? I'm gonna have to catch the replay tonight on the Fox Sports app tonigjt.
Yeah, I'll be watching. Saudi hates gays slightly more, but Russia have slightly better players.

It's a shame that the US aren't there, but you've already qualified for the 2026 World Cup. So there's that.

Watched all three games today. The first two were terrible, but Spain vs Portugal has been a belter. 3-2 to Spain after being behind twice. Half an hour to go. Ronaldo is on the brink of having one of his meltdowns.

Portuguese people need to spend 10 minutes in the sun for them to look like they're ready to get their GTL on. I can't take them seriously.

Every shade is available in Portugal. Great place, though. Went there last year.

I've been a few times (mostly along the Portugal/Spain border, but once to Praia da Marinha). It's pretty underrated as a destination.

Messi has just missed a penalty to put Argentina in front against Iceland. I have now lost my bet. Choking bastards.
