Okay, they aint free but almost free. There are 32 AAs packed inside the case of every ($5) 6 Volt battery. Now you can power your electronic devices without spending a fortune. Here's how to get them out:

1.5 volts x 32 = 48 volts . something doesnt seem right. unless there is some kind of resistor on the 6 volt.

Batteries wired in parallel do not add voltage, they add amperage. 1.5x4=6volts. That means if you wired 8 of them in parallel and wired each set of 8 in series, you'd get 6volts with 8 times the amps of a single AA battery.

if you crack open a standard 9v battery, you get 6 free AAAA batteries
all batteries are engineered on the russian nesting doll principle. this is fundamental science. if you open up a AAAA battery you get 8 lithium calculator button batteries.

there is no known end to battery downgrading in this universe. reports are they go beyond the sub atomic.

I use rechargeable batteries. Do they make a 6-volt rechargeable lantern battery with 32 rechargeable AA's inside it?

Never take apart any battery. Or a golf ball. When I was a kid my friend's cousin's neighbor managed to unwrap a golf ball and the core exploded and he went blind.
