I was never a true New Wave fan, but an underground fan, I liked (still do) New Order (Joy Division), The Smiths, The Clash, Echo & the Bunnymen, and Depeche Mode.

I lived in Virginia where we only received the mainstream bullshit. Any underground radio that came into town was forced out.

If I had to pick a catchy New Wave tune it prolly would be "Everybody Wants to Rule the World".

I was into a bit of this stuff when I was younger, so there's a lot of memorable ones I guess.
Savethewave always had a great playlist of this stuff.

Kon Kan - I beg your pardon
Pet Shop Boys - It's a sin
Erasure - A little Respect/Breath of Love(a jam to this day)
New Order - Subculture
omd- if you leave
real life - send me an angel
Tapps - Burning with fire

Sorry. . . got a little carried-away. . . trapsed-over into the "Alternative" a little bit. I apologize profusely.

Eh, just tired and cranky. Kind of meant that more as New Wave was pretty dead by about 85ish it'd seem
