Had this given to me, was running but quit, haven't pulled the codes but the guy said it showed multiple misfires. Cap and rotor definitely need replaced. V6 4x4, I guess free is good, right? I can always junk it.

If that SUV works properly, I'm looking at it longingly.

Check it's value vs. estimated repair cost then pop that shit on CraigsList

Won't start, replaced the cap and rotor, it already has a new fuel pump, has spark. Crank sensor? Is there way to find out? Battery was out, so no codes.

If you're u can pull up "live data" with your code reader, look for the RPM's if you are cranking and it stays at 0 then the crank sensor is bad or has a wiring problem, critters love to chew on wires

Does it crank? If it does check the simple shit. Check for spark, fuel , make sure it doesn't make any kind of shit noise when cranking. I've seen a few of those spit the timing chain out.
