My grandma passed away this evening. Sadly, she will miss the NCAA tournament this year, she loved college basketball. Rest well grandma.

before I make this about me, sorry for your loss

I lost my Grandpa on Christmas day, he was only 73. 6' 6" intimidating hard ass. I'm gonna miss him.

He was in Florida at the time and had been in and out of the hospital for a month trying to diagnose the pain he had. On 12/20 they removed his infected gall bladder causing the infection to spread, by Thursday it had spread to his kidneys, lungs, and eventually his whole system was septic. My dad flew down to FL immediately , Christmas sucked without him.

73 is a good ride too. Always been paranoid that I'd pull a Patrice.

That sucks. Grandma was only 4'11'', but I wouldn't mess with her, she would kick ass if necessary, even from her wheel chair. My grandpa did something stupid one day, and she literally punched him square in the ass.

Sorry for your loss. Never easy to lose a family member.
My mother died last year. The wife and I are now the

Sorry for your loss. My mom is going on 86 and its scary. She still has that quick wit, though. She says she misses the good old days when black people behaved. I asked, you mean segregation? She said, no, slavery.

RIP to the grandparents in this thread. Got to spend Christmas with mine this year and she turns 90 next year. Even though she can be a crotchety old woman, sometimes you forget how nice it is to have them around still. She's the last grandparent I have left.
