After 98 years, a black is finally racing in the Tour De France


It's the first time a black has ever competed in the Tour's 98 year history. It's really a non-news event; Google News only shows one mention in a blog that I've never heard of and would never otherwise read:

But it wouldn't be complete unless an oversensitive black from this country tried to get a broadcaster in trouble for referring to it as a "coloured":

Did some fact-checking and I'm a bit relieved:

Apparently, the "colored" cyclist competing in Le Tour is middle row, third from right. Not, well, the eyesore in the front row.

So at least he's light-skinned black. Amirite bag?
They're also finally letting Asian women drive the tag-a-long cars.
