Pilot and wing walker still in plane wreckage

Wing walker plane crash
By Breaking News Staff
DAYTON —
The Vectren Dayton Air Show has been cancelled for the day in the aftermath of a fiery crash.
We are awaiting a press conference for updates on the crash and the status of a wing walker and pilot who were onboard. We are told they have not been removed from the wreckage.
Wing walker Jane Wicker’s plane crashed just before 1 p.m. as she sat on top of the inverted 450 HP Stearman.
The plane burst into flames as it hit the ground. A fire truck was at the crash within seconds and the flames have been extinguished. It is unknown the condition of Wicker or the pilot.
“All of a sudden I heard screaming and looked up and there was a fire ball,” said Stan Thayer of Wilmington.
Shawn Warwick of New Knoxville said he was watching the plane through binoculars. “I noticed it was upside down really close to the ground. She was sitting on the bottom of the plane,” he said. “I saw it just go right into the ground and explode.”
His wife was getting a drink when the crash happened. “I came back and everybody was just in shock,” said Cara Warwick.
Many spectators were already leaving when show organizers cancelled the show for the day at 1:30 p.m.
More details were not immediately available. We will update this story as more information is confirmed.
This was the third act at the 39th Vectren Dayton Air Show.
The show is scheduled to run today and tomorrow 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Dayton International Airport.
Veteran stunt pilot Jim LeRoy was killed when his stunt plane crashed and burned at the 2007 Vectren Dayton Air Show.

Why cut the video right there? The best part is the screaming and crying from the rubes.

There is no more midwestern middle class white family event than an air show.

They were really big back in the 80's and 90s in Jersey and Pa. I went to one at the Morristown Municipal Airport in 95 or 98.

Didn't something like this happen at the air show a few years ago?
I remember this one that happened in Reno. I think there was another in Eastern Europe as well but I can't remember where.

I don't mean to frighten anyone, but this happened at Mountain Home AFB and I was at that exact same show only 5 years earlier. I'm okay, though. Pilot set his altimeter for a different air base elevation and ran out of room.
