I, for one, am super excited about this. Season 1 was one of the biggest surprises I've had in years. I couldn't imagine that hey would make it work, but boy did they. Jessica Lange is back, and while I'm trying to avoid information, I've come across a few tidbits that sound as nuts and cool as last season.

PS: I know there's probably an old thread somewhere, but whatever. Might as well start proper now.

I punched out about halfway through the first season due to DVR space and it was just kind of silly IMO. Should I go back and finish the season or just skip it and wait for the second?

I think the only thread for this show is for season 1.

Can't wait until season 2.

The second season is unrelated to the first. They are doing a completely different story each season, so you can do either. Personally, I'd recommend going back. It got really crazy toward the end. I don't think "silly" is the right word. It was definitely self aware, and didn't take itself too seriously, but it hit all the right notes as far as the type of horror that I enjoy.

Finish it. I had a very similar outlook on it. I drifted in and out of the show after loving the first few episodes. I rewatched it with a friend a while back and found that watching the episodes one after the other did a lot to keep me into the story. Waiting a week between episodes, and then missing some, killed the initial experience for me.

As someone who has a pretty severe mental institution fetish, I am looking forward to this. Also, god damn Chloe Sevigny.

I will not click on any of those videos. I want to go into the new season without knowing anything about it. Just I like I did with season 1.

I missed the last half of Season 1 but am going to get the Blu ray when it comes out because I did enjoy what I saw of Season 1. I will be in for Season 2 and am glad it was new so I won't have to watch Season 1 first.

I'm really looking forward to the new season. They always manage to have the creepiest promos for this show without spoiling anything.

Apparently Alexandra Breckenridge had a panty shot during the Emmys several weeks ago

Just finally finished Season 1 last week (DVR missed the last two episodes the first time, had to wait for them to be replayed)... loved it. Can't wait for this season.

What a whore.

So in for season two.
I hope she's back. I love the idea of stand alone seasons. That way it doesn't have to get more and more ridiculous to keep the plot going plus there's no chance of it getting cancelled with unanswered questions.

FX will run with it as long as its bring in advertising dollars.

Too bad they'll also keep Brand and Darkie Brand around out of fear of being labeled racists.

God this is just one of the most fucked up shows I've ever seen.

I've been to so many horror movies that haven't hit the terror angles that this one has. This season looks to be even more fucked up than the last one.

God damn.

This season look amazing after the first episode. I like that there are essentially 2 stories being told--the present-day story of the abandoned, haunted asylum and the 1960s story that is the main focus of the show. Jessica Lange will probably get another Emmy nomination for this season if the first episode is any indication. Her character being both a nasty, manipulative bitch and trying to prevent the maniac doctor from killing patients is great. The story would be good if it was just her holding sane people there against their will and abusing them, but the doctor and the monster take it to a whole different level of creepy.

They really did hit the ground running last night. I knew Chloe Sevingy wouldn't disappoint.

The scene with Sister Mary Eunice throwing herself over the desk brought back memories of one my favorite sex scenes from a movie.

Eunice is such a dirty little wannabe whore. Can't wait till she gets hers.

And it's nice to have some lesbians this season.

Great first episode. Loved the Barnie and Betty Hill nod. I also like that it is being intentionally controversial about hot button topics, but on both sides of the fence - science and religion.

I'm ridiculously behind in my TV viewing but I'll probably watch it this weekend.

Of course it's not like I have a weird fetish that this season will play into.
