Executive producers Ridley and Tony Scott are remaking Michael Crichton's first novel as an A&E miniseries airing this spring.

Stars Benjamin Bratt (Law & Order), Eric McCormack (Will & Grace), Christa Miller (Scrubs), Daniel Dae Kim (Lost), Viola Davis, Ricky Schroeder (NYPD Blue) and Andre Baugher (Homicide). Mikael Salomon (Band of Brothers) directs.

Don't click if you don't know the orginal . . . the trailer pretty much gives away the entire plot.

Doesn't bode well for Jin's future on Lost.

This should be good, and is actually a movie that deserves a remake.

I can't find when it's airing?

WoW! They made all the ugly characters pretty people!!!!
i was just thinking the same thing, part of what was great about the orriginal was how "real" all the characters were, i love that movie i hope they do it justice, i watch it every time its on all three hours of it......i think that i could be so much better in a miniseries

I also like the original and watch it all the time. It's just a great movie with a great ending. From the trailer, it looks like they stuck to the original plot line, down to the scene with the fighter deteriorating, while expanding the problems with the virus spreading. That should add to the tension of the show.

Definitely, I will be watching.

back then?

im fucking worried now. that fiasco in the desert a couple of years ago is a perfect example of how shit can go wrong. its completely feasible that the end of life on our planet will come from the very "outer space" that brought life here........

(what fiasco in the Desert?)
A satellite, whose mission was to fly through an comet's trail to collect the dust, had a parachute failure on reentry and crashed into the SW desert. It was partially compromised.

Just watched that on one of those random movie channels you get with digital cable last week.
My science teacher freshman year made us watch it. The "look at his buttocks" got a big laugh.

I remember reading about this a while back but had completely forgotten about it. Looking forward to it, though; good cast.

The ending in the book did kinda fizzle out, but it's the most likely scientific ending.

Gonna watch it. Like Fez, i watch every moment of the original every chance i get.

Great premise, wonder how they will expand on the story?
