Yes, Mustangs are GT class in road racing, and were/are used for the drags. There are two Mustangs in the Rolex Grand Am Sports Car Series this season. By the way, I'm not the sort of NeckCAR fan that would get a Dale Jr. tattoo. I'm sure that 400 lb. dope I saw at Darlington last year will be using a torch to remove the home-plate sized tattoo on his belly. The hillbillies roooon it for the white collar fans.
Indeed. I saw something on ESPN where Gibbs may go to Toyota next year. The Top-35 rule is really fucking them this season. Red Bull has good young drivers, but not being in every race has to hurt Vickers' and Allmendinger's development.
I think the reason the shelby people have not called him to bring it in for the upgrades is that they are a little backed up. I go by there every couple of weeks and they usually have 30-40 mustangs ready to be modified. The last time I went by, about 2 weeks ago, they had to borrow part of the parking lot at the speedway across the street and had at least 300 cars waiting. I think they are the 2008 king of the road models.
