I got a 42 inch Hitachi last year which rocks and am trying to score another hdtv 42 inch minimum for this BF. I'm hoping for 1080p, 120hz, fast response time and a decent manufacturer. I'm hoping to spend no more than 300 and am thinking of buying it on amazon.

I just bought this one

Haier L32D1120 32-Inch 720p LCD HDTV, Black from Amazon for under $200 for my bedroom

my DishNetwork receivers 2nd output isn't in HD so I don't care about it not being 1080p

That's a pretty good tv for a great price based on what I've read.

Walmart and Sam's club around me have 51" Samsung's for $498 for Black Friday. They released all the circulars 3 weeks early to promote their layaway programs. Fuckin' ridiculous.

So far the only complaint I have is the speakers are very tiny and sound like it - if it were anything other than a bedroom TV I'd hook up separate speakers

720p from my Apple TV looks fantastic just as good as the two 4 year old Vizios that were $599 at Costco I have in two other rooms

42 inch TV's for only $200. I still can't understand why people still have an oid Tube TV when the prices are so slow. Even a poor person should be able to scrape up $150 for a cheap off-brand 32 inch TV. I dumped all my CRT TV's and monitors over five years ago.

I'm gonna try to get my parents an HDTV this Black Friday/Cyber Monday... of course it will have to be from the internet because there's no way in hell I'm going to a Costco or Best Buy that day. They have a 32" (I think) standalone tube television they bought in 1992 after our 19" B&W TV fell off the stand in an earthquake.

Does anyone know if Amazon will be price matching the Brick and Mortar stores? I heard they did last year. I have some credit I'd like to use and then I wouldn't have to brave the elements and agitated people. To me the 42" Sharp at Best Buy seems like the best deal so far. It says online, I'm wondering if that means it starts at 12:01 am on Friday?
