ON platinum hydrowhey (turbo chocolate). Fucking DELICIOUS. I'll do a double scoop with ~12 ounces of 2% milk pre and post workout. Dymatize ISO 100 choclate flavor is also tasty but hard to find in stores. Since all pre-workout boosters I've ever tried are just plain disgusting and fucking expensive I go with basic micronized creatine and a few standard supplements.

My PWO is:
ON Delicious Strawberry
30g/30g dextrose and maltodextrin
4g creatine

I plan to add BCAA's and glutamine in the near future when I make my next supplement order, and I hear these two supplements are very helpful.

Son of a bitch... over 100 bucks for a jar of Tang. What a fantastic scam those GNC carnies are running.

Oh wait... it's loaded with Protein Microfractions and it's Instantized! Well then, I take it all back. If it's loaded with instantized microfractions, it's worth every penny.

100 bucks for a jar of magical muscle powder. Man oh man... sheep lining up for shearing.

what is the active ingredient?

Don't forget, alot of these supplement that cost more than $20 are not worth it.

I've lost alot of weight taking Stacker 2 MAYBE once a week. It's all about diet and cardio.

When you effectivly loose weight, it's VERY easy to build noticable lean muscle and tone.

I don't even have to increase calorie intake above 2,000 to notice muscle gains (I only lift 2-3 a week, high reps and low weight. That way it doubles as cardio and muscle excerise)

I use Black Powder for pre-workout. It's supposed to be good for NO2 generation/muscled pump and blood flow. I'm a tad skeptical on that. But, it provides a GREAT energy boost...which is what I'm really looking for by the time I get home from work and really don't feel like working out. So, if you're looking for energy I'd go with it. I've tried the NOXPLODE stuff from BSN and didn't find it to be nearly as good as MRI's black powder and such.

I'd like to hear if anyone has anything they think is better than black powder.

I don't always take anything post workout, but when I do I use the MRI NO2 Charger Protein powder.

As a side note, I've been trying various stuff since I was like 18 or 19...so I've got 10 years of trying different things and so far the best stuff I've found in general is the MRI stuff. So, it might be nice to look there. They are generally a little more expensive than some of the other companies but I've found that they tend to be worth it. Also, you can save a TON of money if you shop at places like http://www.dpsnutrition.net/

Anyone have stuff they've compared to MRI versions and think they're better? I'd like to give them a try.

I love how the sales pitch for all of these Super Mega Stacker Blaster Beefcake 2000 magical muscle powders all read like the instruction manual for a particle accelerator...

What's causing Black Powder's intense "cellular explosion?" Simply put, the "collision" of two metabolic forces. Both driven by MRI's new ACTINOS2 IR technology. You see, ACTINOS2 IR creates an "instant blast" of nitric oxide, creating levels 950% greater than previously possible. In a nano-second, blood channels "hyper-dilate" - driving Black Powder's precision-calibrated nutrient matrix to your muscle cells in "volumes" never before known. At the same time, the spike of 950% more nitric oxide amplifies "cell-signaling" to levels never before witnessed.
Wow... sciency.

Oh... and that "GREAT energy boost" you're feeling? Yeah, that's from a cutting edge, exotic secret ingredient called caffeine. But keep it under your hat... ancient Chinese secret. Don't let the cat out of the bag. We don't want the price of caffeine shooting up when people discover it's miraculous boosting powers now do we?

I'd like to hear if anyone has anything they think is better than black powder.
Here's something I've stumbled that's better(and cheaper)... food. Regular old food. Tuna fish and coffee. I'll sell you a jar of both for a mere $200. Act now... supplies are limited!

Really? Well I took those magical boner pills they advertise on XM and I came so hard the last time I rubbed one out that I knocked a squirrel clean out of a tree!

True story.

LOL...I know the energy boost is from caffeine (guranna sp?) to be exact. I didn't think it was from magical pixie farts. The bulk of the stuff I take is just straight up protein powders to supplement the protein that I get from my normal diet. I have to be really calorie restricted most of the time to make weight for fights, so the shakes help a lot.

That said, some of the sups really do make a difference man, mainly because of the combinations of vitamins, minerals and acids that are in them that most people don't get in their normal diets. Sure, you could get it all through food...but you'd spend a lot buying the right stuff...it takes a lot of effort to eat it right, at the right times....etc. I mean...how many people actually bother to eat properly to begin with? But don't take it from me, I'm only a guy who has gone from being a 290 lb fat ass, to walking around at 185-190...and is taking my first professional MMA fight in December. So, I don't really know a whole lot about this whole "working out" fad.

Okay... so you like the "robot food" because eating a healthy diet is too complicated and requires too much effort? So it's a matter of convenience for you?

Yeah... I actually enjoy eating real, actual healthy food... I like it a lot as a matter of fact. I don't really find it all that hard or complicated, so the idea of "supplementing" or replacing a part of my diet of actual yummy food with nasty ass shakes and powders... ummmm... no.

If your Stacker Master Blasters are a matter of convenience for you, fine... but don't kid yourself that they're magic or that they can do things that real food somehow can't. In other words... don't buy into the pseudoscientific babble on their labels.

Oh... and I run over twenty miles a week and swim at least a mile. I can(and regularly do) sustained 150+ bpm heart rate exercise sessions that last for over two hours. So I'd say I pretty much have the exercise thing figured out too.

Remember... food is fuel, it's not magic. Michael Phelps turned pizza, waffles, and Chinese buffet shit into 8 gold medals. No Stackers, Boosters, or instantized nano-microfraction protein flux capacitors were involved.

You read my post right? I don't think it's magic. Didn't you recently brag about sitting at home all day cause your wife makes enough money that you don't have to work? Well, not all of us have that luxury. After I'm done working for the day I have to go home get changed and go to the gym or fight training, then get my daughter fed and changed and ready for bed, and then do it all again the next day. So....not an abundance of time to go and cook tofu and asparagus everytime I have a meal.

Yes... the robot food is easy and convenient. I do believe we have established that fact.

Since we're reiterating points....I guess I'll point out that no one in the thread said that they thought supps were magic, in fact I specifically said I didn't. You apparently felt the need to bust into the thread to answer the question that no one asked, so you could put on your "I'm so smart and everyone else is a bunch of sheep" hat.

You know damned well that the vast majority of people(and I never said you were one of them) who are spending heaps of $$$ on the overpriced, overhyped Master Blaster Runs Bartertown powders and shakes are ABSOLUTELY buying into the magical food claims sales pitch they ALL make. And you also know damned well that the vast majority of people(and again... I'm not saying you're one of them) who buy and use that stuff are doing it unnecessarily. They're not exercising at a level even close to where that stuff is anywhere near necessary, let alone beneficial. Americans take the most expensive shits on the planet. There is more nutrition in the average American dump than there is in the average meal on the African continent... so the idea that there are lot's of Americans who require "supplemental" nutrition... nutrition in addition to their normal hyper-nutrition, is an idea that's just laughable.

The Mega Booster supplement racket is rife with carnyism and bullshit. Anybody who tries to tell you that proper nutrition is complicated and expensive is a BULLSHITTER. And anybody who buys into it IS a sheep. The vast majority of the racket is targeted at people who think that good health and big muscles can be purchased in a can if you're willing to shell out the big bucks.

That's the plain truth even if it's an answer to a question that nobody asked.

The packaging on some of that stuff is 100% laughable.

Talk about marketing, 50% of the cost is the bottle and display box!
