So I've always wanted to have my own "claw machine". Ever since I was a kid I've had a fascination with them. After all these years I picked two up.

Payed $240 for both. The guy had this one working and another one exactly the same but not working. The one that works has some cosmetic defects. Nothing major. The bill collector doesn't work. Spits out the bills but the other one in the garage has a good one. I'll probably swap them. And sometimes the claw wont or takes a while to go left. It's a joystick issue. But nothing that can't be fixed (after I learn how to diagnose and fix these things). This has started my arcade shopping bug. I want to buy a galaga machine next. I'd love my own arcade game room but I had to get one of these crane machines first. Won't be my last either. I love this fucking game. Anybody have any arcade machines or collect them? Any tips or anything?

I had one of these back in the mid 90's. I sold it, working for $300. It was in A+ shape. Now a beat up one that works is $900-$1000.

Would love one of these. So many games from when there were Arcades I really miss. Arcades were great. :icon_cry:

My buddy has six pinball machines. Most from the 70's, but he has a Black Knight and a Space Invaders that are from the early 90's.

He also has an arcade video game that has most of the classics on it. That is a newer machine that just has the retro games loaded on it.

That is what he has with his video game. It is like a 50 in 1 of all the classics. DK, pacman, Gallaga, etc...

Those pinball machines are awesome.
Yeah, he has been collecting them over the last 6 or 7 years. Keeps his eyes open and has got them all at about 1/2 market value.

The only Arcade Game I'd want is the WWF Wrestlefest game.

And maybe The Simpsons

I have a friend who has 2 golden tees in his living room.

Probably helps that he works for a bar. I'm sure he got them for a decent price.

I'd love the simpsons arcade as well as an original Street Fighter 2. Some people really over price their shit though.

This was from last years Super Bowl Party (4/6):

Wow, the one on the right I never thought I'd see again. They had it at a roller rink when I was 6 or 7 and I used to want to be that thing. I actually tried to induce dreams that I was it. :icon_mrgr

I never realized it was an Alien because I didn't see the movie until years later. I thought it was like a demon skeleton thing. What an illiterate dope.

I sat too long on purchasing an Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 machine for 150 bucks over the summer. Worked perfectly, but the coin slots had to be redone. I really regret that, as I've been wanting to build an arcade collection for years, especially now that arcades are pretty much nonexistent. About a decade ago, I was in the process of buying my girlfriend a Pac-Man original standup for 1200, but then we broke up. Kind of dodged that one.

I'd like to get a Ms Pac-Man/Galaga or a Donkey Kong cocktail table. Other than that, I'll probably end up building a MAME cabinet.

Since I'm a claw machine freak I want to collect more of them. I'd love one of these:

First one ever made. As far as video games I definitely want a galaga, pac man, ms. pac man, donkey kong, street fighter 2, and MK 2 or three. I wouldn't mind a mame machine but something about having the original cabinet and all that I like the most. That sit down cocktail pacman machine that they used to have at pizza huts in the 90s would rule.

I would love to get my hands on a sit-down version of the original Star Wars game. The one that was vector-array "graphics" and Obi Want spoke to you from speakers in the head rest.. loved that game.

The sit down Star Wars is probably the Holy Grain of 80's arcade video games
