Part of me thinks I should rewatch Archer Noir now that I know what they were doing with it, and part of me wants to forget it ever existed.

Is it all a DANGER ZONE?

One more to go after this. I hope that will come back to present day...or their approximation of it.
One season of this was enough. 2 is overkill.
3 would just show they ran out of ideas and
just did it to fulfill a 10 season contract.

Two things I want from this season

1) Humor
2) No Barry

Judging by YouTube comments for the new commercials and promos and whatever, Danger Island really needs to be amazing because it seems a lot of people are annoyed over another coma season.

And lemme guess, it’s another 8 episode season (which will become the standard soon for all the other cable network shows)

If I get the sense that this season is going to be similar to the last one, I might just bail on the whole thing before its over.

Considering it's only like 22 minutes a week, it's no skin off my back if it's not 100%.

With eight episodes, you could watch the entire season it about the time it would take to watch Infinity War once.

My problem isn't necessarily the change in format/avoidance of coma, but that it was done poorly. If Dreamland was fun or funny, it would bother me less - but it was such a drag. The jokes rarely landed and the drama seemed out of place.

I've thought about rewatching it knowing it's an animated drama rather than a comedy. Still doesn't fix Barry, but maybe reframing it would make me appreciate it more.

I just can't sit through another season of people just yelling at each other for 22 minutes. I also don't buy the Noir season was an animated drama argument. I think that's something they came up when they saw the negative reaction it got.

I don't think I ever saw them call it an animated drama. If they did I didn't see it or forgot it. That was me trying to rationalize the darkness of the ending plus figuring out how to highlight the strengths/intentions.

I couldn't get more than three episodes into Noir, and this last episode didn't do much for me.

This sucks.

Tapped out when Archer was in the pool. Was a good series for a while.

"I don't think that's a thing yet."

If you didn't like Noir, you're not going to like Danger Island any better
Does it remain funny at least or does it delve into melodrama like Noir?

And please tell me no robot Barry.

Finding the comedy more on the "meh" side.

No robot Barry (so far) but
